You can enjoy all this to the fullest when you camp at campsite du Pont d'Avignon. This child-friendly campsite is located on an island in the Rhône river. This campsite is especially popular because it is a municipal campsite in Avignon. From the campsite, you can easily cross the river using the free ferry service or you can walk to the beautiful town centre in 20 minutes.

Camping in comfort

When you drive through the campsite, you can imagine yourself in a lush, green park. There are many trees and the camping pitches are situated on grass. Do you value your privacy during your holiday? Then choose a spacious camping pitch between tall hedges, which also provide plenty of shade. There are also open fields where you can pitch your tent or caravan.

Water fun in the swimming pool

The entire campsite is very green, and this also applies to the swimming pool area. The playfully constructed swimming pool is surrounded by plants, giving you that true holiday feeling when you go for a swim. There is also a paddling pool for the little ones. There are a number of loungers at your disposal.

The restaurant with a terrace is located directly next to the pool, allowing you to keep an eye on the children while they are busy splashing in the water. The children will not be bored in the peak season, with an enthusiastic entertainment team thinking up the most fun activities and games.

Liked - Very friendly staff, nice pool area, and the food at the cafe / restaurant was fantastic. We also loved the location and wished we had more time to spend in the area - a good reason for us to return again soon!
Disliked - The bathrooms were a little old and perhaps small for the size of the site, but we did not look all over so maybe there were others.

Travelling party: Young couple

Positiv in Erinnerung bleiben wird die Nähe zur Stadt. Man gelangt mit einer kostenlosen städtischen Fähre im 15-Minuten-Takt von der Ile De La Barthelasse zur Altstadt Avignons. Der ideale Ausgangspunkt also für einen Stadtbesuch. Die Parzellen sind großzügig bemessen, sehr eben und bieten durch die Hecken ein angenehmes Maß an Privatsphäre ohne dabei einengend zu wirken. Anders als der Acsi Vergleichspreis uns vermuten ließ, zahlten wir nicht so fiel (für 2 Personen im Wohnmobil mit Stromanschluss) - damit ist das Preis Leistungsverhältnis extrem gut. Die Sanitäranlagen sind zwar sauber, aber es gibt einen Alterungsgrad, ab dem diese einfach ausgetauscht werden sollten. Und die größte Kritik gilt dem Personal: noch nie haben wir so lustloses und unstrukturiertes, ja gar unhöfliches Personal an der Rezeption erlebt. Man wurde weder richtig angeschaut noch wurde freundlich mit einem interagiert.
