South of the Luberon, 2 km from the village of Cucuron, lies camping site Le Moulin à Vent. From here you have a beautiful view of the mountains. The spacious campsite in natural setting can be found between vineyards and orchards and measures some 2.5 ha. There are many old oak trees on the grounds. The region is quite touristy with a large number of attractions and many small, characteristic Provençal villages.

Fresh breakfast

Le Moulin à Vent is a real nature camping site in a forest providing lots of shade. The pitches are spacious, not all the same size and laid out on terraces. The camping site does not have its own swimming pool; the nearest place for swimming is a lake, some 10 km away. The camping site also does not have a restaurant. Coffee, bread and breakfast can be obtained from the reception. The pizza truck stops by once a week.

Walking and cycling

You will find a great many signposted walking and cycling routes in the area, as well as the regional nature reserve Luberon, to the north of the camping site. A visit to one or more wineries surrounding the camping site is also a possibility, of course.

Surroundings

Camping Le Moulin à Vent would serve as an excellent base for a longer sojourn in the Provence. Its central location allows you to make day trips to several interesting sights before returning to the peace and quiet of Cucuron at the end of the day. You could, for instance, visit the flamingoes of the Camargue, the beaches of Calanques or the Gorges du Verdon.

Een fantastische camping. Uitermate geschikt voor rust zoekers. De omgeving is prachtig. Heel veel bezienswaardigheden en mooie dorpen en steden.

Mooie rustige camping met vriendelijke eigenaren. Grote plaatsen met en zonder schaduw. Zeer goed onderhouden.

We stopped here on our way to the Toulon area and ended up staying 8 nights and only left then because they were closing.
A really nice site, in the countryside surrounded by fields of vines and the local pumpkins. Peaceful and all the surrounding roads are small, very quiet and super for walks. Local town is picturesque with a large pond around which is a weekly market. A supermarket, butscher and baker in the town. The bar/restaurant by the lake was popular but being charged €3 for a small lemonade, we gave it a miss!
The pitches are of good size and fairly level well separated under fir trees allowing sunlight with patches of shade. We missed the café, visiting pizza van and even most of the bread orders at the end of the season. Owners super friendly and helpful. Facilities spotless with loo paper, hand soap, drier, separate wash cubicles all anyone could need. Absolutely super site.

Wow, what a camping! First of all, the environment is stunning! Everything is so beautiful over here, the sound of cricket's in the summer, the weather, the relaxing vibe. And then you have the owners, we are used to do campings, but we have never seen so helpful and lovely persons. The really want to make your stay as pleasant as they can. The camping is really clean and relax. The only sounds that you will have are the sounds of nature. The accommodations are spotless, and when I say spotless, I really mean spotless, you could even eat from the floor, that's how clean they are. You will have plenty of showers, so no wait lines. Plenty enough toilets, they even provide free paper covers to put on the seats. Everything looks brand new. There is even a toilet for kids and for wheelchairs. I never seen such good accommodations in a camping. They also provide the campers the opportunity to freeze some of your own water in a main freezer for free! The only requirement is to put your name on the bottle. The camping spots are big, we could easily share it with an other tent. If your cable is not long enough to plug in, they will gladly borrow you one. You have to pay for the wifi, but you will have at least coverage near your emplacement (and the price of the camping is so cheap I didn't mind paying for it) we had a lovely view outside our tent on the magnificent nature. The playground area is well maintained (it even has green grass). They have a small shop and the prices are correct. If you want some ice cream, they have a stand were you can get some for a reasonable price. There are plenty of shops in the area were you can get your groceries. If you are looking for a spot in the nature, that is relax and the only sounds you will hear are coming from the nature, than this is the place to be. The owners will help you with a smile. A big recommendation!

In caravan with mover so easy to get into sloping pitch. AIry open site with shade from tall trees with views . A pool would be lovely but would detract from the peacefulness. Lovely clean washblock. Owners very welcoming. Cuceron lovely village with shady fish pool, within walking distance & with small supermarket.
