The cosy terrace camping site Les Gorges de l'Oignon is located directly on the banks of the reservoir of the same name in the green foothills of the Jura mountains (Ain Departement). The spacious pitches on grass are separated from each other by hedges and accessible via sloping paths. The exquisite vista over the reservoir and the hills is striking, and you have a view higher up of the swimming pool with toddler's pool and Jacuzzi.
View of the lake
The pitches at the Les Gorges de l'Oignon camping site are laid out on terraces so that in most cases, you will have a beautiful of the reservoir and the surrounding green hills. To provide you with the privacy you need, the pitches, which always offer some shade, are demarcated with hedges. Some pitches are located along the lake and are completely free to choose from.
Two well-maintained sanitary blocks offer showers, toilets, lavatories, a bathroom for babies and a lavatory for handicapped persons. For campers without their own tent or caravan, there are wooden chalets and mobile homes for rent, both with their own sanitary facilities and covered veranda.
Young and old alike will enjoy themselves at the water park, featuring a large heated swimming pool, a heated play pool with water spouts, a rapids run and a paddling pool (for toddlers only). Thanks to the location, you will have a magnificent view of the upper part of the grounds, right from your lounger.
Sports lovers can play to their heart's content at the football and volleyball pitch or work on their table tennis or jeu de boules skills. You can also play or learn golf here. Fishing enthusiasts can cast their lines on the banks of the lake. In the evening during high season, the whole family can get together at theme nights (including dance and karaoke).

Stayed for three nights in June 2017. Warm welcome and very friendly owners. Lovely setting above the lake and within walking distance (uphill) of the village. Nice, level pitches with ample shade and easy hook-up and water. Swimming pools and the lake provide a perfect place to relax as does the bar/restaurant! An ideal spot to unwind.
