The location of campsite Kanopée-Village à Trevoux is unique: within walking distance of the lovely town of Trévoux, on the banks of the Saône river and at half an hour's drive from Lyon. Adjacent to the campsite is a large swimming pool complex with waterfalls and rock formations. Not a swimmer? Then you can explore the area.

Bird nest

The campsite has a large range of pitches, is shady and has a diversity of greenery. Most pitches are separated by hedges. Some pitches are located along the jogging track and water. However, the houses on stilts ('bird nests') are the main attraction of the campsite. They are of a striking design and attract many weekend guests. Because the units are spread across the grounds, the adjacent pitches are slightly less private.

Swimming paradise

Next to the camping, open to the public, is a swimming paradise with waterfalls, rock formations, a large water slide, (strict) supervision and a sunbathing lawn. Camping guests receive a considerable discount. Please note: Only bathing shorts are allowed (no briefs) for boys and men.

Pathway along river

The campsite itself has few amenities. The campsite relies on the adjacent swimming paradise and the surrounding area. There is direct access from the campsite to the walking and cycling trail along the Saône. Routes are available from the reception. The campsite also offers guided walks. You can go canoeing and hiking in the vicinity.

Regional products

At the reception you can buy regional products (such as wine). There is also a bread service. There is a supermarket within cycling distance. Just outside the campsite you can enjoy a meal for a reasonable price.

Disliked - No one checking for noise after 11. Chalet next door very noisy and I had to shout at them to take it in doors.

Liked - Fantastic location and local attractions; the 'free fan' made available!
Disliked - The misleading info about animations ( for kids) - there was NONE.
Stringent swimming wear code of the 'Cascades' pool
My 18yr old son( autistic) refused to wear the compulsory tight fighting trunks so was extremely bored over 6 ( hot) days. We left early and found a cheaper, campsite with tons of activities for the kids. Please improve your summer activities and no misleading info!

Disliked - Reception area very humid and even though I had a confirmation email saying full payment had been received, there was an issue with 76 cents.

Liked - Nice site on the edge of a town next to a river lovely views. Lyon is well worth visiting we went on the hop on and off bus did the full ride.
Disliked - The lady at reception was confused about the electric sockets, we had 3 pin one they had different ones but the lady wasnt sure what we wanted we went back to her 3 times before we bought the correct one

Disliked - Pillows in accommodation are not very good. Appreciate they need to be semi-disposible but they are too cheap.
