In the middle of the natural environment of the Ardèche lies the Camping L'Ombrage campsite. Located on a hilly terrain, it serves as a perfect starting point for exploring the surrounding area. You will be staying here near the town of Ruoms, and from the campsite, you can see the rock of Sampzon in the distance. In 2021, the pool was completely renovated to include a large sun terrace with comfortable loungers and a toddler pool. Both pools are heated.

XXL camping

This tranquillity originates in part from the very generous camping pitches. Each spot is at least 150 m2 in size! The natural delineation and very well-maintained camping grounds also create an attractive appearance. The low trees also provide sufficient shade and give you a real Provençal holiday feeling. In addition to an XXL camping spot, mobile homes are also available for rent.

Mini concert at the campsite

The Camping L'Ombrage campsite is geared towards lovers of nature. Therefore, the facilities are not on a large scale and are limited. So you can buy fresh bread at the campsite, but you will find the nearest supermarket four kilometres away. In high season, the campsite bar – with terrace – is open, and you can go there for drinks, ice cream, snacks and pizza. From time to time, communal dinners are arranged in the evenings, accompanied by a mini concert.

Playing in nature

Nature is also the biggest playground on the campsite. There is a small playground, but little can beat romping around in the grass and between the trees and bushes. To cool down afterwards, we have a swimming pool. This is located next to the terrace. Around the water, you will find a small sunbathing area.

Liked - The campsite is very spacious and atmospheric. The personnel is always friendly and they take good care of their guests. The restaurant serves a good quality of food and drinks at a reasonable price. The pool and the sanitary block are kept very clean. A few times a week there is entertainment like a clown, live music or a bouncy castle for the kids. Once a week you can enjoy a communal meal with other guests. The campsite is not located next to the Ardeche, but all must-sees are just a few minutes by car away. And if you don’t want to use the car, just go by bike or foot.
Disliked - That we only booked for two weeks ??

Liked - Excellent séjour. Camping sympa, convivial, tout le personnel est agréable, souriant, aimable et à l' écoute. Les équipements sont propres, fonctionnelles et agréables. Un camping comme on les aime. Très bien placé et tellement de choses à faire dans cette région....
Disliked - Le bruit des animations des campings aux alentours selon le vent jusqu'à 23h peut être légèrement dérangeant (tout comme les cigales ??) mais ça finit par faire un bruit de fond. Et la nuit reste très silencieuse et paisible

Liked - Nous recherchions un lieu calme pour nous ressourcer : nous l'avons trouvé. Le camping porte bien son nom, les emplacements son bien ombragés. Les logements sont bien espacés et tout est trèspropre. Le camping est proche des lieux à visiter de la région et ça c'est agréable. Les gérants sont de plus charmants :) Vous avez été à notre écoute sur notre demande pour un mobile home éloigné de la piscine et infrastructures et pour cela, merci.
Joli espace piscine, bien aménagé.
Disliked - Il faudrait peut-être un animateur jeunesse ?

Liked - Nous sommes conquis par l'espace nature, le confort et la propreté des logements, leur situation, l'accueil familial, bienveillant, et professionnel, la convivialité ambiante, la qualité des repas, du vin :-) Bref, pour la seconde fois, un séjour inoubliable qui donne envie de revenir
Disliked - Cette année, la propreté des sanitaires communs laissait parfois à désirer... probablement en raison du comportement de personnes peu respectueuses et propres
