Les Chapelains campsite is located in the lush countryside of southern France. Here you can camp on the banks of the river Drôme. Pitch your tent in the woods and enjoy the peace and quiet and the mountains. The campsite is one big playground for the children. They can play in the play corner, but especially the river is their favourite spot. In the quiet water they can swim, paddle in the shallows and canoe.

Camping in the countryside

Are you coming to the South of France with a caravan? Then you can choose a nice delimited pitch between the trees. With a view of the surrounding mountains. Tent campers will pitch their tent in the woods, close to the river. That is camping as camping is meant to be. Tie your hammock between two trees, put out your folding chair ... and let the enjoyment begin.

Water fun in the Drôme

From the campsite you can step straight onto the pebble beach at the Drôme. Perhaps not the best place for sunbathing all day, but certainly the best place for a refreshing dive. The calm water is perfect for swimming. The shallow water is perfect for bathing with small children. An outing with the whole family? Take a trip in a canoe.

A different restaurant every evening

Away from the hustle and bustle usually means away from the facilities. At campsite Les Chapelains this is not too bad. For a quick snack you can go to the bar. Liked - Wij zaten in een van de huisjes - ruim, heerlijke veranda en mooi uitzicht. Onze jongste van 10 mnd kon hier veilig rondscharrelen. De huisjes zijn zodanig bij elkaar gelegen dat evt kinderen makkelijk met elkaar kunnen spelen, maar er tegelijkertijd genoeg privacy is. Camping is mooi, groen, en ligt aan de rivier. Eigenaren zijn supersympatiek, er is een fijn terras (draft beer op de tap ;), en de camping ligt op loopafstand van het mooie dorpje Saillans (met meer leuke eettentjes).

Liked - Een compacte en charmante camping met typisch Frans karakter. Het sanitair is goed verzorgd en de kampeerplaatsen zijn voldoende ruim. De ligging van de camping is fantastisch.
Disliked - Er is voor kleine kinderen niet veel te beleven op de camping. Er is wel een speeltoestel en in het hoogseizoen is er een eenvoudig animatieprogramma. Toch misten we een zwembadje voor verkoeling en iets meer speelvoorzieningen.

Liked - Het was thuis komen. 4e jaar naar deze camping. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren. Fijn buiten restaurant met kleine kaart met lokale ingrediënten. Sanitair keurig en schoon. Kleine overzichtelijke campingmet de rivier als speelgebied in je achtertuin. Heerlijke camping in een prachtig gebied.
Disliked - Als tip: activiteiten voor de kinderen zijn wat minimaal. Maar voor jonge kinderen prima.

Liked - Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad. Het is een kleine camping met een zeer relaxte sfeer. De kinderen hebben zich goed geamuseerd aan de rivier en op de camping.
De eigenaren zijn erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk.
Het eten op de camping was erg lekker en de live muziek avonden super gezellig.
Vanuit de camping loop je in ongeveer 20 min naar het dorpje Saillans, leuke markt op zondag en ook leuke restaurants met heerlijk eten.

Liked - Charmante camping met voldoende voorzieningen voor kinderen en volwassenen, goede faciliteiten ter plaatsen, ook voor baby's is er een badje voorzien. De avonden met concert zijn zeer gezellig. Heerlijke rivier achter de camping
Disliked - Het enige nadeel vonden ze dat drank en eten ter plaatsen prijzig waren.
