The well maintained terrain of terraced campsite Domaine La Garenne lies against a pine tree-covered hill. As a result you have a lovely view from many pitches. You camp here in Saint-Avit, a village in the heart of the Rhône-Alpes. Especially families with children of primary school age enjoy themselves thoroughly on this campsite.

Very spacious pitches

In front of you lies a sizeable and well maintained terrain. In the lower located section the pitches are partly demarcated. There are a total of fifty very spacious touring pitches (150-300 m2). The sizes vary more or less depending on the season. The spaciousness is great for privacy, but also for larger families that like to stand close to each other.

A round over the campsite and take your pick!

Upon arrival you can do a tour of the camping grounds with a map. The map shows the vacant pitches with a cross, so you can take a closer look. Don't have camping equipment? You can book one of the forty accommodation units (mobile homes and cottages). These are all on an elevated section of the campsite.

Great swimming

The swimming pool complex is adjacent to the cafe terrace. It has three heated pools. Dive in on of the two larger pools or splash around in the toddler pool. The pools are surrounded by a wide, tiled terrace. Ideal for sunbathing (bring your own sun umbrella). The campsite offers an entertainment programme, which is predominantly in French.

Local bites to eat

Great feature on this campsite: local shop owners come and offer their produce here, such as bread, pizzas, grilled chicken, goat's cheese, mustard, jam and olives. Enjoy!

Liked - We hadden een xxl plek en dit was echt super! Zwembad was prima, de kinderen hebben zich hier prima vermaakt.
Sanitair was netjes en altijd schoon!
Camping organiseert veel leuke dingen.
Wij hebben een hele leuke vakantie gehad hier!

Liked - Heerlijk, de rust, de ongedwongen sfeer en de authentieke franse animatie. Niet al te veel poespas, fijn! Wijntje 2 euro, geweldig! Ruime grote staanplaatsen en veel accomodayie verhuurmogelijkheden. Prachtige zwembaden, schoon!!! Niet heel toeristich gebied wat wij prettig vinden.
Disliked - Dat de bakker op vakantie was. Normaal rijdt de bakker 6 dagen per week de camping op met divers brood. Werd nu prima opgelost door de campingeigenaren Robert-Paul et Elodie, kon je bestelling doorgeven. Maar niet alle keus. Bijvoorbeeld niet een Viking Bruin (complèt) brood.

Liked - Plek, zwembad, sanitair, vriendelijk en veel te doen . Nr 45 ligt op de top. Grote plaats met stuk tegels waar je in de schaduw op kan zitten , ideaal. Mooi uitzicht. Wel stukje lopen naar beneden. Wij hadden 2 tenten staan, konden er wel 4 zijn.
Disliked - Toegangsweg is super slecht, hobbels en gaten. Maak normaal trappetje naar sanitair gebouw op bovenste gedeelte. Geen toilet papier bovenste gedeelte, terwijl wij een camping hadden uitgezocht waar dit wel bij aanwezig zou zijn. Beneden was wel toiletpapier. Koelkast niet drie uur na arriveren laten komen omdat wij al bederfelijke spullen bij ons hadden. Twee keer moesten wij hierin vragen. Was wel mega koelkast, dat was prettig.

Travelling party: Seniors

Liked - De camping is prachtig qua ligging. De plaatsen zijn zeer ruim en overal voldoende zon en schaduw.
Onze sta-caravan was nieuw en mooi uitgevoerd met een overdekt terras. Helemaal top.
Disliked - Door het hoogteverschil van deze terassen-camping (wij zaten helemaal bovenin) was de wandeling bij 35 gr. C wel een belasting.
Jammer, maar wel begrijpelijk, is het ontbreken van een lunchmogelijkheid. Ook geen snacks o.i.d.

Liked - Ontvangst door het receptieteam olv Elodie is SUPER. Het brood van de aanwezige bakker héérlijk. Het zwembad is weliswaar klein maar erg schoon. De kampeerplaatsen en stacaravans hebben enorm veel privacy. De eigenaar is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam (beetje Frans spreken is wel pré) als je iets wil weten. De RUST die je ervaart is héérlijk!!! Kortom een prachtig domein voor mensen die niet van massa pretfabrieken houden.

Liked - Rustige, ruim opgezette camping. Wij hadden een prachtig huisje met een ruime, prettige veranda. Hartelijke ontvangst, vriendelijke mensen en leuke afwisselende activiteiten door de animatie. 's Ochtends verse broodjes en leuke lokale producten. Heerlijke zwembadjes (schoon).
Super vakantie!
Disliked - Als we toch iets moeten zeggen: Hoogteverschil op de camping.
Een glijbaantje in het zwembad zou leuk zijn.
