This was the 4th time we have stayed at Les Peupliers, we love it and especially when we get a lakeside pitch and can watch the changing colours on the lake and see the swans glide by. Pitches are large. Staff are very friendly as are the fishermen who are always happy to stop and chat. Bread available to order daily. Sanitary facilities a bit dated but clean and plenty of hot water.
The area is stunning and we were lucky to get a lake side pitch so we could watch the changing weather on the lake. Bread can be ordered each day and there is also a little shop just off the lake side road just five minutes walk out of the site. The downsides to the site are the sanitary facilities which are in dire need of updating. They may be adequate in warm weather but with no outer door they remain cold and damp.
The electricity was also inconsistant, perhaps dependant on how many people were using it.
Exceptionally friendly staff and owners made you feel really welcome. Pitches good size but water supply for filling English style Aquarolls not easy. Location made all minor complaints meaningless as the scenery was fantastic, We cannot emphasize how good all the staff were which made us feel so welcome. Would really recommend the site.
Stayed here as an overnight stay , easy to find , friendly reception man , spoke fairly good English . Beautiful area , lake very pretty , dog loved it , as it was quiet , but I don\'t think dogs are allowed in the lake , as lots of fishermen in high season ( was quiet when we visited )
No shop on site and nearest little store is around the lake , and expensive . Pitch was good size and good motorhomes facilities .
This was our second stay for a couple of nights. The lake is fabulous for swimming and the surrounding area good for cycling. It was busier this year the site has a lot of long term caravans pitched.
Stayed here recently for 4 days, and everything from the welcome we received, to the site pitch, views and facility cleanliness were perfect. this is also one of the few sites which states it takes large motorhomes (we are an american RV) and not only does it actually take them, but the access to the site also takes us!
There are clearly some permanent/ long stay campers on site who are also friendly and you cannot blame anyone for wanting a permanent pitch in such a stunning locale. We will definitely return and highly recommend you to do the same!
