The quiet family camping site La Forêt, as the name suggests, is located near a beautiful forest. The well maintained camping site is close to one of the most beautiful loops in the Seine near Jumièges, a historic village on the beautiful river. In the vicinity you will find a vast nature area with lots of forests, villages and towns, through which the Seine winds her way.

Camping with shade and privacy

You will see at a glance that the grounds are well-tended. The spacious pitches, varying in size (100 to 200 m2) but always spacious enough, are located along streets. Depending on your wishes you can choose between a pitch with or without facilities (as electricity and water). The pitches are demarcated with high beech hedges, a guarantee for privacy. You can also rent a tent, a mobile home or trekker hut at Camping de la Forêt.

All amenities for a perfect holiday!

There is a small, covered swimming pool (60 m2) with sliding roof and a lovely toddler pool with a few slides and a small rock (30 m2). The water in both pools is nicely heated. There is playground for children, but no entertainment programme. You can play table tennis on the camping site and make use of the pétanque court. You can play tennis for a fee.

Fresh bread

The camping site shop has a limited assortment, but you can buy the most essential groceries. The baker delivers daily fresh bread on order. In peak season you can also get take-away meals, such as pizzas, French fries and snacks. There is a large supermarket at some four km from the camping site.

Travelling party: Family with children <4 years

I arrived after an hour closing, the woman at the campsite told me that they are full, the campsite has no available pitch. I told her that I called on the morning and reserved a place. She said that they are closed and I should have arrived earlier because they are full now. I said I know I arrived late but still I reserved a place and since she (receptionist, owner?) is still here can’t she just get me a place, any place. She said that the reservation does not mean anything because yesterday 5 people called and reserved and none came. I said but I called and I came. And since I am here I am not one of them. So after long discussion with her husband she provided a place. And yee there was still two available pitch. In the mean time she said that she is there since 6 in the morning and barely had time for lunch.
So my suggestion to her.
1, Get more stuff so she can have a decent lunch or close the get after 7 if it is really closed.
By the way most camping’s in France are open late.
2, If people do not show up after reservation, do not take reservation over the phone. But do not promise them there is a spot and come freely.
In overall she was rude.

Liked - The pitches have tall hedges around them giving privacy. The toilets and washing areas are very clean and tidy. The bread in the morning is delicious, and the kids loved the pool area. A very enjoyable camping experience for the whole family!

we stayed for one night here as a stop off on route into France.

site was quiet so plenty of pitches available.

children\'s playground was good as was the pool which had inside and outside options.

not much nearby (walking) in way of restaurants etc and site facilities were not yet fully open.
