The quiet family campsite La Forêt, as the name suggests, is located near a beautiful forest. The well maintained campsite is close to one of the most beautiful loops in the Seine near Jumièges, a historic village on the beautiful river. In the vicinity you will find a vast nature area with lots of forests, villages and towns, through which the Seine winds her way.

Camping with shade and privacy

You will see at a glance that the grounds are well-tended. The spacious pitches, varying in size (100 to 200 m2) but always spacious enough, are located along streets. Depending on your wishes you can choose between a pitch with or without facilities (as electricity and water). The pitches are demarcated with high beech hedges, a guarantee for privacy. You can also rent a tent, a mobile home or trekker hut at Camping de la Forêt.

All amenities for a perfect holiday!

There is a small, covered swimming pool with sliding roof and a lovely toddler pool with a few slides and a small rock. The water in both pools is nicely heated. There is playground for children, but no entertainment programme. You can play table tennis on the campsite and make use of the pétanque court. You can play tennis for a fee.

Fresh bread

The campsite shop has a limited assortment, but you can buy the most essential groceries. The baker delivers daily fresh bread on order. In peak season you can also get take-away meals, such as pizzas, French fries and snacks. There is a large supermarket at some five km from the campsite.

Liked - Goed verblijf op camping la Foret. Positief: broodservice, prijzen van artikelen in winkeltje en bij de bar zijn verrassend laag, sanitair, rust op de camping.
Disliked - Apart betalen voor WIFI is niet meer van deze tijd. Meer (goede) info over bus verbindingen is welkom.

Disliked - Zwembad is een beetje klein voor veel mensen, er is geen 22u stilte regel waardoor sommige plaatsen best nog luid kunnen zijn.

Ruime plaatsen, rustige sfeer. Zwembad is niet erg groot maar service van de eigenaren is uitstekend. Strand, bos, cultuur het is allemaal in de buurt als je in Normandie bent. Aanrader

Camping is prachtig: veel groen, goed onderhouden. Wij hadden een heerlijk ruime staanplaats, met een hoge beukenhaag eromheen waardoor we relatief veel privacy hadden. Dit geldt voor een groot aantal plaatsen. Kraantje om de hoek.
Het sanitair was prima in orde: aparte cabines voor douches en voor wastafels, goed verwarmd en met warm water. Toiletten zitten in een apart gedeelte, toiletpapier en zeep zijn hier aanwezig. Bakken voor afwas en was zijn buiten geplaatst onder een afdak. Ook daar goed warm water, zeker voor afwassen erg fijn. En het ziet er allemaal goed schoongemaakt uit.
Opvallend was wel dat, zoals ook in eerdere beoordelingen genoemd, de toiletgebouwen met douche en wasbakken om 22.15 uur sluiten. De afwas- en wasbakken zijn dan wel bereikbaar maar het licht is er uit. De eigenaresse vertelde dat ze sluiten om overlast te voorkomen (mensen die douchen om 4 uur ‘s nachts, al zingend).
Op loopafstand zit een aantal eetgelegenheden. Wij vonden Auberge du Bac een aanrader, traditionele Franse keuken voor een hele schappelijke prijs en met heerlijke wijnen. Is ongeveer 2 km van de camping af. Was tip van de eigenaresse, die gelijk belde om voor ons te reserveren. Heel vriendelijk.
En ze hebben heerlijke koffie op de camping in de bar!
Wat ons betreft een aanrader.

Boscamping, hoge bomen en (te) hoge heggen. Satelietontvangst bijna niet mogelijk.Zanderige plaats. Tijdens ons verblijf veel herrie door luidruchtige kampeerders en veel (kleine)kinderen.Abdij is ca. 2 km van de CP. In het centrum is ook een camperplaats met voorzieningen en bij info een toilet. Kleine centrum is leuk maar stelt weinig voor, op de abdij na.

Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame uitbaters. Ruime plaatsen die gescheiden zijn met een haag. Veel plaatsen hebben een water aansluiting en de elektriciteitspunten zijn gemakkelijk te bereiken.
Twee sanitaire blokken die dagelijks twee maal worden gepoetst. In de toiletruimte zijn de toiletten voorzien van toiletpapier en er is ook een wasbak en zeep zodat je je handen kan wassen. De douches en wastafels, met goed warm water en een haardroger, zijn in een ander gedeelte in het sanitairgebouw.
De camping heeft ook een klein winkeltje en een bar waar de vriendelijke eigenares je bedient.
In het dorpje Jumièges vind je een aantal kleine resto-cafés. Een aanrader is restaurant Auberge du Bac.
Ik kom er zeker terug.
