Pleasant site, close to Dieppe centre. As said before, the surroundings are initially off-putting, however once on site it is fine. It is however very close (walking distance) to the shopping centre based around Auchen, including Decathlon. This is handy if you are just starting out on a trip, or just finishing. There appears to be a regular bus service into the centre of Dieppe, with a return service until 20:00. Will stay again.
This evaluation has been obtained by our inspector from a questionnaire at the camp site.
We eventually found this site, despite the awful directions provided. We arrived at about 12:30 to find the barrier down. We rang the bell (as per the sign) and eventually a rather irate lady appeared. She spoke no English, but we gathered that she was having her lunch (we wished that we could do the same!)
Turned out that they close reception for 2 hours over lunch. She asked / told us to reverse out of the driveway as we were blocking the entrance. Needless to say, we went elsewhere.
Everything was very good on this site - pitch, facilities, location, hot water, pool. Excellent location for shopping. An Aldi 2 minutes across the road and 2 petrol stations down the road. Will definitely return. Dieppe is a lovely port and quite reasonable for eating out.
The lady checking us in only spoke French and was very friendly. We understood each other with a bit of a try waving and my schoolgirl French. The pitch was large and there was a choice of grass or hardstanding. We were very handy for lots of shopping on the very nearby retail park, but the campsite was peaceful and natural. The WiFi cost 6euros for a day 20 for a week, and as it is very important to us we moved on after one night rather than pay it.
Bathrooms clean, warm and well stocked, but mixed sex as is often the case in France.
The lady owner got very cross with us at check out when we pointed out that our dog was included in the ACSI price.
She tried to charge extra for the dog and when we explained that he was included in the ACSI price she went all French on us and started to shout but she did eventually give us our money back.
I would probably not have bothered but her attitude was awful.

Stayed here for one night after crossing the channel. The welcome was friendly and the staff were very helpful. The facilities were ok and kept clean while we were there. The pitch was not large but perfectly ok. While the bar was open there was no food available out of season however there were places to eat nearby (& we were given money off vouchers for them) and the one we ate at was fine. Supermarket close too. Not sure I\'d stay long however fine for an overnighter.
Thought this was going to be awful as it\'s in a bit of an industrial estate with hotel chains etc. but it\'s really nice when you get inside and you could be in the country. Very well kept gardens and lots of trees and hedges.
40 minutes walk into town and 50 minutes to walk back up the hill. Not for the faint hearted. But there\'s a good bus service. Aldi just across the road. Little caff at the edge of the site but not always open.
Would recommend this site.
As regular visitors to Dieppe, we have stayed at this site many times but this was the first year we realised it was an ACSI site ! Very pleasant surprise. Even better was the newly opened indoor swimming pool - during the week we spent there prior to travelling south, the weather was appalling and as we had taken our four yr old great grandson for his first trip abroad, the warm pool was a blessing. The Belvedere retail park is a ten minute stroll, with plenty of shops and FLUNCH - the best chain restaurant in our opinion and Tristan\'s ! Dieppe town is lovely and a short bus ride away (and some drivers will drop you back at the camp gates) with lovely shops and places to eat. Unlike most Channel ports, I would thoroughly recommend both Dieppe and Vitamin.
This was our first site in France a stop-over having come off the ferry at Dieppe.
Friendly owner, reasonably priced, good sized pitch with clean facilities albeit the shower/toilet block was somewhat cold but the water hot.
Ideal stop-over to and from ferry and Dieppe is a nice town.
