A lovely site, right on the banks of the river Main. Only drawback is that you can hear the Autobahn all day and night, a steady sound, and not too intrusive. If you\'re lucky a big river boat or two will chug by.
Very convenient location
Only stopped for overnight whilst on a motorbike tour of the Romantik Road. Last minute booking. Friendly staff. Excellent bar/food facilities. Good clean toilet facilities though upstairs, Showers work on a timed coin operated system. Was great after I figured out how it worked. Nice location and swans stroll through the site which was nice to see. Would definitely use again
This is a useful site for a stopover on the way south/north. There is a separate field for people wanting to stay hitched and leave early. We stayed in the main touring area, beside the river Main. It was level and grassy, but a bit muddy in places as there had been heavy rain. The restaurant/beer garden does reasonably priced fast food. The toilet facilities are clean and modern, on the first floor of the reception building, up a flight of steps, but there are wheelchair-accessible facilities at ground level. There\\\'s plenty to watch on the river - ducks, swans, geese, and boats including rather noisy freight barges, and river cruisers.
This was our first ever ACSI and caravan site in Europe and we were made very welcome. The site is close to the autobahn and fuel so it was an excellent overnight stop although we now wish we had stayed longer. The restaurant seemd good and it was useful to be able to wind down on site ready for our move to Salzburg. Would definitely recommend this site.
I have stayed here many times and I keep coming back as they are great host. Everthing is well kept and maintained.
Excellent site on banks of river 'Main'. Good washing/toilet facilities. Friendly helpful staff. Very good for overnight stop or extended stay.
We stopped here for 2 nights enroute from Passau to St Goar on the Rhine. We parked in the overspill field which was a flat field with short cut grass. What facinated us was at 4 pm we were the only van there and 2 hours later you could not get another van in as the Dutch were enroute south all gone by 9 am next morning but more back next night. Did not bother us, we found it more entertaining than the TV. Would certainly use the site again.
This was our first halt on the way to Greece from the Hull/Rotterdam Ferry in March 2007; it snowed. The heated, spotless toilet block was just what we wanted. Staff knowledgeable regard facilities in the nearby town. Convenient access to the Autobahn and very convenient for Wurzberg visit. We had camped here about 30 years ago with two of our children so we knew what to expect.
