Less than three hours drive from the Dutch border and you find yourself in a completely different world: the mountains and forests of Sauerland. The terraced grounds of Camping & Ferienpark Brilon are situated on a hill overlooking the surrounding area. For hikers and cyclists the mountainous landscape, with the Rothaar Mountains as the highest part of Sauerland, is a true paradise. The area is also ideal for winter sports enthusiasts.

Pitches with panoramic view

Very spacious, well-tended touring pitches fill the terraced grassy area of the campsite. Although a large forest extends over the hill at the edge of the campsite, the campsite itself has a very open character. There is very little vegetation on the terraces, apart from hedges demarcating the pitches. That's a good thing, because then you have every chance to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding hills as much as possible from your pitch.

For walkers and cyclists

Most of the guests at Camping & Ferienpark Brilon travel by bicycle or mountain bike on the back of their camping equipment and hiking boots in the travel bag. During the day you won't encounter many of your fellow campers at the campsite, as the surroundings invite you to go for long walks and bike rides.

Mountain huts

The fact that this is a campsite where most campers are out all day is also reflected in the facilities. They are small and fairly simple. The sanitary facilities are clean and good, but the campsite does not have a shop or restaurant. Not a problem in itself, because there are plenty of cosy mountain huts and restaurants nearby where you can eat for a very reasonable price.

Klasse sauberer Platz mit großen Stellflächen! Wenn man Ruhe sucht oder Möglichkeiten zum Wandern oder Biken, dann ist man hier genau richtig!

Wij kregen een mooie grote plaats toegewezen en zijn vriendelijk ontvangen. Het is een mooie omgeving om te wandelen. Het sanitair is prachtig maar ik denk wel ontoereikend wanneer de camping vol staat.

Die Stellplätze sind sehr groß, jedoch ist der Platz ist sehr steril, hat eher den Scharm von einem Wohnmobilstellplatz.
Fehlende Beleuchtung an den Wegen, im Dunkeln zum Sanitär muss schon ne Taschenlampe mitgenommen werden.
Sanitär sauber, aber schon bei ca. 50% Belegung zu klein.
Schöne Lage und mit der Sauerland Card ist man sehr flexibel.
Für einen Kurzurlaub ist der Platz zu empfehlen.

In juni 2022 zijn we hier geweest. We wilden een week, maar zijn een maand gebleven. De kavel is zeer royaal, veel privacy door de heggen,
De omgeving is prachtig om te fietsen of te wandelen. Omdat je met de Gastekarte gratis ov had konden we alle kanten op.

Sehr sauberer und gepflegter Platz, freundlicher Empfang, riesige Stellplätze, Sanitärbereich ausreichend gross und sehr sauber. Kommen sicher wieder.

Heel mooi verzorgd, mooie, grote plekken, modern en heel proper sanitair. Vriendelijke uitbaters! Enige klein minpuntje is dat er geen winkel is op wandelafstand. Hier komen we 100% zeker nog terug!

Lovely large, hedged, spacious grassed pitches with hard standing area and views over wooded countryside. Site is on hillside but pitches are well terraced and level. Only stayed overnight so did not have a chance to explore the area but the local town is practical with good supermarkets and rail station. Playground and room to run around for smaller children. Modern, clean sanitary facilities. Would definitely stay again
