A busy site on the banks of the Mosel. Only stayed one night and didn\'t take advantage of the leisure activities. Good food on site and a supermarket next door for provisions. A little noisy as we were pitched near the road and cars and bikes were passing all night

A very disappointing site. The unhelpful staff were much more concerned with customers in the expensive restaurant that also served the marina. No-one explained where we could camp, how the showers worked, or even the fact that they were charged at 50 cents a time off the supplied \'dongle\'. That secret is not even mentioned on the price list! The only facilities block is at the far end of the field, neglected and long overdue for replacement. A depressing place resembling the worst kind of public toilets.
The options for emptying chemical toilets were also a disgrace. Either outside the toilet block into a dirty open-air WC bowl, or by lifting an extremely heavy metal grid behind the restaurant, to reveal a wide stinking sewer.
Our electricity cable was locked into a metered cupboard, with no opportunity to read the meter before or after using it. Just trust and pay, at 60 cents per kwh, plus connection fee! A very long lead is needed, as there are so few electricity cupboards, and it was difficult to find a level pitch within reach.
WiFi was available but the price was prohibitive.
The situation on the Mosel River and cycle path, near a motorway and a few miles from Trier, is the only reason to stay. There were many more reasons to leave.

We found the showers difficult to use, despite plenty of info in different languages, the most important point was to make sure that the shower knob pointed to Z before entering the key, as the water started immediately if in any other position. As we many other campsites we visited there were not any hand soap dispensers. Very close to a reasonable supermarket.

Very large, flat site with very little shade, beside river. No marked pitches. Easy access and suitable for larger vans. 16 amp hook-up, metered. With ACSI card, 4 kwh per day allowed, then 55 cents per kwh. Boxes locked so you cannot monitor your usage. WiFi expensive.
Toilets, laundry, dishwashing at one corner of site, so could be a long walk. Good standard. Water taps in various areas, but waste water disposal, toilet emptying and refuse disposal only at MH service area behind reception. Dongle for barrier which also operates showers, must be pre-loaded. Many seasonal/permanent vans. Restaurant.
Roads on 3 sides so intrusive road noise.
No English spoken at reception at time of visit (May) and no information available on river boats. Site information leaflet in English. Bus timetables on board at site entrance.
Credit Cards NOT accepted.

Site is surrounded by 4-lane motorway with slip road underneath, two bridges busy with traffic and another road. The yacht looked lovely but the noise of the roads ensured that we will not stop here again. Did not understand the electricity supply. No receipt offered in exchange for my cash payment.

Travelling party: Seniors

The site is located on the banks of the Mosel and is a good place to tour from and close to several supermarkets. Toilets and the site were adequate in all respects but could be improved on. Ensure you read the Electric meter when you get connected, I didn't and had to pay 16 euros over and above my ACSI allowance when we left left after 3 days, funny old thing that was in cash to warden with no receipt offered! The ACSI handbook says that the site is surrounded by vineyards, what it should say is ..."major roads on three sides including a two tier motorway and associated slip road across the river"... if you like road noise 24/7 this is the place for you!
