The campsite Gythion Bay is located on the south coast of the Greek Peloponnese region, right on the beach and the Mediterranean Sea. On this beach campsite, you are camping in the shadow of orange and olive trees. With a luxurious outdoor swimming pool looking out on to the beach, a restaurant with a terrace under the olive trees and modern sanitation, this Greek campsite is complete.

Camping in the orchard

With your tent or caravan among the olive trees: at the Gythion Bay campsite, you camp the Greek way. The campsite is located in a large orchard, where olive trees, orange trees, fig trees and nut trees alternate with each other. They provide shady spots, but some of the three hundred touring sites are also in the sun. You can camp right on the beach, on demarcated pitches.

Mediterranean Sea

From the swimming pool, you have a view over the beach and the Mediterranean Sea. Beach and campsite are separated from each other by a fence, but you'll just walk through the gate and have your feet in the sand. There is space for everyone on the broad sandy beach. There is a beach volleyball pitch for everyone who wants to play a round. Or dive into the clear water of the Mediterranean Sea.

Restaurant and mini-market

The restaurant is just near the beach and the swimming pool. Here you can enjoy a Greek meal on the terrace in the shadow of the olive trees. Or have a glass of wine or cocktail and enjoy the long summer evenings. Next to the terrace, there is also a cosy bar where you can toast your holiday.

Aufenthalt im April 23. Sehr zufrieden, alles sauber und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. WIFI sehr schwach, nur im Pool-Bereich schwach möglich.

Ich kenne diesen Platz seit 1982 und war immer wieder mal hier .Zuletzt 2022 und war der letzte Tourist , der den Platz mit einem grossen WoMo ( knapp 10 m 6,5 to) leider wegen Winterpause verlassen musste am 18.11.2022.
Den restlichen Winter bis zum Fruehjahr haben wir dann ueberwiegend in der Naehe verbracht .
Die Rezeption ist mit Petra und Pepi ganz toll besetzt und beide sind sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit und sogar noch im Spaetherbst gut gelaunt .
Solche Mitarbeiterinnen zu haben ist toll und die Betreiberfamilie darum zu beneiden
Auch das sonstige Platzpersonal war immer fuer einen netten Kontakt aufgeschlossen , sodass wir gerne diesmal ein paar Wochen blieben .
Auch JeanPierre aus der Auvergne ist super nett.
Die Anlage wurde immer wieder seit 40 Jahren modernisiert und erweitert mit z.B. Poolanlage , Sanitaeranlagen , Restaurant , Bar etc.
Die VE fuer WoMos ist durchdacht und praktisch.
Fr Liner ist es mitunter immer etwas schwieriger einen geeigneten grossen und vor allem hohen freien Platz zu finden , aber in der Nebensaison machbar
Ein kleiner Supermarkt direkt gegenueber der Einfahrt ist recht gut sortiert ( auch fuer kleinere Campingersatzteile ) und taegl.frisches Brot etc..
Es gibt einen Bus , der morgens ca.09.00 Uhr Richtung Gythion faehrt .
Petra und Pepi organisieren aber auch gerne ein Taxi ( z.B ELIAS ) und mit mehreren Personen am Freitag vormittag zum Bauernmarkt fahren und hinterher die Gastronomie besuchen lohnt sich immer .
Es gibt aber auch einen mit Fahrrad zu bewaeltigenden Weg am Strand laengs bis Mavrovouni und von dort nach Gthion .
Falls das Restaurant jahreszeitbedingt gechlossen haben sollte , schaut mal in die Taverne von Takis rein ( 200 m ) am Strand westlich .
Wir werde wieder kommen . Versprochen .

Waren schon mehrmals auf dem Campingplatz und müssen dort immer wieder ein paar Tage verbringen wenn wir den Peloponnes bereisen. Hier stimmt einfach alles und jedes Jahr gibt es Verbesserungen auf dem Platz. Der Pool Bereich ist ein Traum. Auf dem Platz halten sich mehrheitlich deutsche Gäste auf.

Waren im Juni und September am Platz. Der Platz ist einer der besten in Griechenland den wir besucht haben. Leider muss man Reservieren wenn man länger bleiben will, sonst muss man öfters den Platz wechseln. Seit 2023 sind alle Plätze parzelliert und einige sehr klein .

Dieser Campingplatz liegt sehr zentral um sich die Mani anzusehen. Eine schöne Anlage mit Swimmingpool. Die Stellplätze sind nicht alle parzelliert. Man steht unter Olivenbäumen. Saubere Sanitäranlage. Das Restaurant ist auch sehr gut.
