The campsite Gythion Bay is located on the south coast of the Greek Peloponnese region, right on the beach and the Mediterranean Sea. On this beach campsite, you are camping in the shadow of orange and olive trees. With a luxurious outdoor swimming pool looking out on to the beach, a restaurant with a terrace under the olive trees and modern sanitation, this Greek campsite is complete.

Camping in the orchard

With your tent or caravan among the olive trees: at the Gythion Bay campsite, you camp the Greek way. The campsite is located in a large orchard, where olive trees, orange trees, fig trees and nut trees alternate with each other. They provide shady spots, but some of the three hundred touring sites are also in the sun. You can camp right on the beach, on demarcated pitches.

Mediterranean Sea

From the swimming pool, you have a view over the beach and the Mediterranean Sea. Beach and campsite are separated from each other by a fence, but you'll just walk through the gate and have your feet in the sand. There is space for everyone on the broad sandy beach. There is a beach volleyball pitch for everyone who wants to play a round. Or dive into the clear water of the Mediterranean Sea.

Restaurant and mini-market

The restaurant is just near the beach and the swimming pool. Here you can enjoy a Greek meal on the terrace in the shadow of the olive trees. Or have a glass of wine or cocktail and enjoy the long summer evenings. Next to the terrace, there is also a cosy bar where you can toast your holiday.

Dieser Campingplatz liegt sehr zentral um sich die Mani anzusehen. Eine schöne Anlage mit Swimmingpool. Die Stellplätze sind nicht alle parzelliert. Man steht unter Olivenbäumen. Saubere Sanitäranlage. Das Restaurant ist auch sehr gut.

Sehr netter Empfang an der Rezeption welche sogar deutsch spricht.

Camping bietet alles was man braucht, Sanitäranlagen sehr veraltet doch sauber und gepflegt.
Pool und Strand sehr gepflegt.
Alles in allem bis jetzt der beste Camping auf der Insel.

Wir waren heuer (2022) Anfang Juni in Gythio - zum wiederholten mal :) Wie immer hat uns der Campingplatz und die ganze Umgebung sehr gut gefallen. Die Möglichkeiten zum Radfahren und zum Wassersport sind ausgezeichnet. Bei unserem nächsten Griechenlandtrip steht der Campingplatz Gythion Bay wieder fix am Plan. Schade, dass wir noch nicht mehr Zeit haben und länger dort bleiben können :) wir wünschen den Betreibern des Camping weiterhin alles Gute und viel Erfolg.

Wir waren 4 Wochen da und waren wie immer sehr zufrieden. Das Restaurant hat seit letztem Jahr einen neue Köchin, diese Frau versteht ihr Handwerk und kocht für ihr Leben gern. Täglich gibt es 5 - 7 Tagesgerichte eines besser als das andere - auch für Vegetarier findet sich da eine Auswahl. Da kann man fast schon von Sterneküche reden. Hoffentlich bleibt das so.
Was wir allerdings nicht verstehen können ist, warum Hunde immer noch nichts kosten. Daher geht der Trend inzwischen zum Zweit- und Driitthund. Alles wird teurer: der Strom wird in drei Kategorien eingeteilt alles richtig, aber Hunde kosten noch immer nichts. Es werden schon alle Seitenstreifen auf dem Campingplatz bepinkelt bis man mit den Hunden am Strand ist und dort geht es gerade so weiter. Man möchte barfuß laufen und nicht dauernd im Hundeurin und Restkot treten. Wenn für Hunde endlich Geld verlangt würde, würde hoffentlich die stetig steigende Hundeanzahl konstant gehalten werden oder wäre rückläufig. Wir Menschen bezahlen pro Tag „dürfen“ aber nicht überall hinpinkeln und große Geschäfte verrichten. Dass Hunde in Griechenland nicht ins Meer dürfen steht zwar irgendwo, aber es interessiert niemanden und kontrolliert wird es auch nicht.
Dieser Punkt stört uns massivst am Camping Gythio Bay.
