Travelling party: Couple

We used Castle View purely as a base to visit Mystra....it was not crowded even in late July and we had a shady non demarcated pitch with loads of space. We walked to Mystra from the site...about half an hour gently uphill to the lower entrance. The pool was a great place to spend the rest of the day cooling off after the climb to the castle...it was a bit old fashioned but the water was clean and it seemed well maintained. We had a very nice meal in one of the tavernas in new Mystra. The manager is a man of few words but was friendly enough..he managed to produce a very nice chilled bottle of white wine made near Monemvasia plus a couple of nice glasses to drink it from.

Travelling party: Seniors

Small grassy campsite under shady trees. Swimming pool empty. Small restaurant open. Toilet facilities adequate, though there was a smell of gas from the boiler when taking a shower. The \'free WiFi by Reception\' scarcely worked at all.
The site is overpriced because of its proximity to medieval Mystra, with a view of the castle. The owner tried to charge us an extra 4 euros per day above what was quoted and only backed down when we threatened to leave. After that he remained unfriendly and unhelpful and we soon moved to a simpler (but cheaper) site nearby.

Travelling party: Family with children <4 years

Near the Mistra site, sure good the swimming pool to relax after the visit. You can choise this camp site to have a foothold to Mistra.

Travelling party: Single

Small campsite. Trees are very low for camping cars, difficult to get into pitches.
Pool was nearly empty, but the remaining water was smelling bad. No internet as advertised. Shop and restaurant was closed. Nearest supermarket 10km away. Very expensive for Greece, and not good campsite too. Very disappointed. Then he charged me more at the end than he had said when I arrived.
