Brilliant!! Nice welcome from John the owner - superb location on the Lough shore. Food available all day at the "dog and duck" pub, as is beer/coffee/soft drinks - entertainment also some days/evenings. Short 100 meter walk from the site gates. What more could you possibly want? Excellent wifi reception sat tv good as well!
Loved staying here and will return.Ideal location for visiting athlone . Very friendly park and people we met couldnt be nicer.Very relaxing and quiet at night.
Scruffy site with lots of permanent vans that did not look well kempt, the office is falling down with missing glass. Owner made us pay for car AND van, just looked at me when I asked if he did the same for large caravans and car. Should have taken the hint and gone to Gailey bay. However, the toilet block is being rebuilt and is good. Wi-Fi free and worked on the pitch. Electricity points encased in old, plywood boxes. Nice location beside the loch and handy for visiting Athlone.
Terrible site. It must be avoided. Staff were very rude. They charged for everything. We were charged extra when some of our friends had to leave early for a funeral.
Very pleasant site with decent toilet/shower facilities. Able to park motorhome right at lough shore. John, the warden helpful and pleasant personality. Adjacent to pub but didn't visit so can't comment. Been to site a couple of times and will be back.
A large site with direct access to the Lough. Ideal for those who like boating.
There are no marked pitches and the site probably gets quite full at weekends.
The village pub is very close but there are no other facilities in the village.
Spacious site on the shore of Lough Ree near Athlone. Easy to find, only 4 km from M6, exit 9. Excellent for fishing and boating. Short walk to Pub in Ballykeeran village. Extremely friendly helpful warden.
