Phoned in advance and told lots of places so no need to reserve.Arrived 11 am, loads of spaces and chose our own, friendly reception and bar staff who had good english ( compared with our Italian).Good sized pitches for our 5metre caravan and car, electric hook up every other pitch. I suspect it\'s better for motorhome/ campers as the only water point is near reception and appx 150 metres from our pitch near the washrooms. All fine unless you don\'t have an aqua roll to enable water to be carried back to be pumped into the caravan.
Very well maintained site, nice bar and restaurant and a bus stop at reception ; it runs every 2 hours (odds )with a very helpful bus driver who tells you and shows you your return stop which is appx 100 metres back from your drop off point, and is outside the HOM shop. Bus number 68 destination campegio.
V good site highly recommended.
We stayed at this park as an overnight stop to visit the beautiful city. The bus runs regularly into the town..a must visit. The park is not appealing on arriving to get there. One travels through some very poor abandoned ruins and what appears to be a tipping place ! However once reaching the park it is most acceptable..the surrounds are clean and the pitches are level and plenty of shade. Recommend for just one or two nights as it is a little soulless and the staff were a little off handed and abrupt.
A well organised site with good toilet block and showers. Seats and toilet paper in the loos! Pitches though are small and site had a problem with mosquitoes whilst we were there – lots of them around although they were due to spray just after we left. The pool is good and reception was friendly and helpful with a very useful map of Bologna and details of the bus service into town which stops at the site and we used this and it was an excellent way to get in and out.
There was free wifi for 30 minutes per day but then additional time was extra per day which also coverage was poor, and only available in the bar area.
Good temperature adjustable showers but using press buttons, some of which only delivered about 5 seconds worth of water. Water temperature was OK in mens but variable in ladies – cold to hot within seconds. Also there are no water points around the site so had to use the camper fill which is quite a distance from the touring pitches. Site shop was very basic and milk and bread were expensive so we found a local supermarket. It’s not a quiet site. There was constant background noise from the autostrada, from planes on approach to the airport but even these we drowned out by the ciccadas and a huge thunderstorm whilst we were there. The pool area though is refreshingly quiet.
Overall though the toilets and showers were some of the best we’ve seen in Italy, the site is well kept and is well situated so we enjoyed our stay but we’d have to say it’s a base for visiting Bologna rather than a destination in itself.
OK campsite for a visit to Bologna. Bus from site every 2 hours. 20mins. 1.6euro. Pitches are adequate, shaded. Not a big site. Staff very helpful with good English. If I was visiting here again I would use this site.
Stayed on this site for three days ,great site for Bologna , lad a little small with large unit but ok if you are carefull,Resturant top class as were the toilets .showers
