This site is perfect if, like me you enjoy quiet, relaxing sites with plenty of space and shade. It was the perfect antidote to the frenetic, crowded, noisy sites on the coast. The pitches are mostly level and all have good shade. The site staff are very helpful, friendly and speak good English. The pool is a good size and warmer than many. There’s a small shop just opposite the entrance offering the essentials including daily bread or a larger supermarket within 10/15 mins walk.
Aquileia (short walk) incorporates a UNESCO World Heritage site - Basilica of Aquileia and Archaeological Area - which is absolutely stunning especially the 4th Century mosaic floor and crypt. This place is more impressive than the Cathedral in Florence where people queue for hours to get in - no queues or crowds here. There’s even a bell tower if you wanna view of the surrounding countryside.
The Adriatic resort of Grado about 6 miles distant is a nice town to visit with plenty of shops, restaurants and private/public beaches. Easily reached by excellent cycle path or bus.
The site was moderately busy when we visited, a handful of Italians, a few Brits but mainly German and Dutch campers. I think many use it as an overnight stop, which is a shame because it has much more to offer. There is a bit of noise from the sports stadium down the road, but it isn’t intrusive and doesn’t go on very late. Some of the pitches are a long way from the EHU, so long cable required. Wifi is free and quite good.
This is an extremely good site and I’d be very happy to return to.

Grest camping, friendly staff, nice size pitches with plenty of shade, good clean showers with plenty hot water. Nice swimming pool area. Handy shop over the toad and easy walking to the village. I will recommend this place to friends

Peaceful campsite under the trees in walking distance of Roman ruins, museum and fantastic gelateria - Mosaic. Lovely pitch under trees although got muddy following a 3 hour thunderstorm with torrential rain! Staff excellent and very helpful. Site surrounded by cycle routes. Toilet block could definitely do with some updating- toilet seats would be a very welcome addition! Nice pool which children on site were all enjoying. Site recommended.

We have been camping for many years now and had one of the best holiday here. It's a very friendly site with very accommodating and helpful staff. The campsite is extremely clean and well maintained. Quiet, lush and well positioned in one of the most fascinating regions of Italy. I would highly recommend this campsite to both touring caravan and pitched tent campers. Cannot say enough good things about out trip and stay at this site. We will return!

Very pleasant camp site. peaceful. Decent sized pitches, mostly grass. Wifi was good but pricey. The electric was rated at only 4 amps. It may have been possible to upgrade, but we just about managed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of shade.

We had a very friendly welcome on arrival and the pitches are of a good size. Most pitches are shaded.
Sanitary facilities are basic and cleaning is of a reasonable standard (no loo seats or toilet paper).
Internet access point was reasonably priced, but connectivity was poor.
The swimming pool was welcome after a hot drive, but there was very limited seating around the pool and the small child's pool in the picture was out of action.
