Feel like soaking up some culture in beautiful Rome? The city campsite hu Roma Camping in Town is an excellent base from which to do this. You'll be camping just 5 kilometres from the Vatican City. Before you explore the Italian capital, you can take a refreshing morning dip in the campsite's swimming pool. Tired but satisfied, you'll return to the city campsite after a long day of sightseeing and end your day at the cosy restaurant & bar. You can also enjoy the pool table, table tennis and a basketball court.

Camping on a large city campsite

Hu Roma Camping in Town is a large campsite comprised mainly of rental accommodations. There are various mobile homes for rent, from simply equipped to more luxurious models. The camping pitches vary from 35 to 90 m² and are located at the front of the campsite.

The sanitary facilities are clean and tidy. There are also sanitary facilities for people with disabilities.

Relax by the pool

The rectangular swimming pool, where you can go for a nice refreshing dip, is located at the centre of the campsite. There are also two whirlpools where you can relax and unwind. The pool and hot tubs are open daily from May to October.

Italian food at Ciao Bella

Fancy a tasty Italian pasta or pizza after a long day out and about? Then you can go to the campsite's restaurant, Ciao Bella. Between swims, you can order a refreshing drink or cocktail at the cosy pool bar.

Disliked - Bitte keine Laubbläser benutzen -> 100% umweltschädlich -> 100% Lärmbelästigung (zumal, wenn man kurz nach 8:00 Uhr damit anfängt)! Rom selber ist schon laut genug!

geweldige camping met alles erop en eraan. Zelf een aparte ticketkiosk voor openbaar vervoer en andere te bezoeken bezienswaardigheden in Rome. sanitair wordt verschillende keren per dag schoongemaakt. Aan de overkant een hele grote supermarkt en een steakhouse. Helaas was het sanitair voor de heren in tijdelijke cabines. De cabines waren zo klein dat afdrogen erin niet eens lukte. Uiteraard kwamen hierdoor verschillende heren douchen bij de dames. Maar een top camping op de perfecte locatie voor een bezoek aan Rome. Bij deze complimenten aan de schoonmakers.

Mocht je twijfelen om hier deze zomer heen te gaan. Niet doen, tenminste niet als je met een tent of caravan komt.

De wc’s en douches voor de mannen zijn in verbouwing. Er staan nu portable gebouwen als vervanging. In deze douches zou je je hond nog niet afspoelen en daar moet je dan in douchen. De hokjes vallen van ellende bijna uit elkaar. Ze zijn zeer klein, je kan niet een rondje draaien. Ze zitten vol met schimmel. Kort om dit is zeer zeer slecht geregeld, en dat voor de prijs van de camping.

Dit staat dan natuurlijk ook nergens vermeld als je boekt. Je wordt gewoon opgelicht. Ik ben dit kwaliteitsniveau niet gewent van “HU”.

Verder is er geen vers brood aanwezig op de camping. Recht tegenover de camping zit een grote supermarkt. Hier kan je wel brood halen, alleen moet je dan niet te vroeg zijn.

Er zijn ook nog wel wat positieve kanten aan de camping. Ons plekje camp easy was bezet en toen kregen we een camp smart. Wat een mega plek.

Het zwembad ziet er netjes uit en het eten bij het zwembad is niet duur.

De bus verbinding richting Rome is wel een gedoe. Of de bussen zijn te laat, of rijden ineens niet. Verder zitten ze vaak stamp vol want iedereen van de camping gebruikt die bus. Dus dit is wel erg vervelend, je bent zo 60-70 min onderweg om in het centrum te komen.

De camping ligt aan een drukke weg dus fietsen of met een elektrische step is niet aan te raden.

Helaas is onze ervaring met de camping flink verpest door het douche fiasco. Mocht dit gewoon goed geregeld zijn dan zou ik de camping wel aanraden.

From the Rome ring road (G.R.A) take exit Aurelia Roma Centro (white signs). Just before the pedestrian bridge turn onto the service road. The campsite is located after about 50 metres on the right. Clearly signposted.
