Initial welcome by owner ok but highly awkward after this. There is a bar on site which we used on our first night, slightly frosty reception as we were 10 minutes early. Can\'t really call it a bar as it seemed more to be a living room for the owners and their many cats, difficult to stay due to the stench of their cigarette smoke (and the fact we felt we were in their living room). The pitch was an ok size but vegetation seemed overgrown and we were incessantly pestered by mosquitoes. Toilet and shower facilities were the worst I have encountered on a 7 week tour of Europe. There were 2 male showers open at this point, I had to choose between an ant infested cubicle and one that was pitch black (light broken). Half way through shower water stopped completely and would not restart leaving me fully lathered! I cannot understand how the toilet and shower facilities were rated as 7.2 on this website, utterly disgusting.
The dish washing facility was equally as poor consisting of a trough with a metal grill over it. There was a washing machine (overpriced in my opinion at 5Euro) but no tumble drier, Ok if you are equipped with a washing line and a summers day but not ideal for camping trips in the autumn.
If you like cats then you might enjoy the owners many cats, however we were very freaked out when one of them kept trying to climb up our tent in the middle of the night.
Very strange atmosphere at this site, seems to be a place for permanent caravans rather than a campsite. I would not return even if being paid to do so. Please renovate your toilet/shower block!
We did not enjoy this campsite.... it was way overpriced for what they are offering. The pitch was small and there was way too much vegetation growing around which encouraged many insects especially mosquitoes (the zebra type that bite hard). The staff were unkind to the children they told them not to break the toys (which they were simply playing on). The open and close the campsite so many times that I found it hard to remember when we can come and when we could go. We were there because we visited Rome if it was not for that we would not have stayed. The shower block was dark and dismal. There were way too many permanent residents there. Music was playing one night until 2-3 am from nearby beaches. Did not enjoy this site.
