This site is above the town on a mountain road. Great views from the pool and bar terrace. Handy shop. Helpful staff. Terraced site with some awkward bends. We were on site 141 which was large with a view over the valley and mountains. Terraces with sea views were rather crowded but still popular. Staff helpful. Toilets clean. I would recommend and I would stay again. Loved Portofino. We parked at the little bay before Portofino called Paraggi. From there you can access steps on the left and walk on a paved path trough the trees into Portofino. Looking down at the water all the way. We visited the Cinque Terre but found them very crowded. They are very small villages and too small for the numbers of tourists.
stayed here on route to italy august 2015. it was very hot so decided to stay here as it was bit cooler up in the mountain. lovely views. if u have a very big camper can be bit hilly. swimming pool lovely overlooking the sea. lady in reception very helpful. thought price was reasonable as italy can be expensive anyway. loved the fact every pitch has a sink and water tap. toilets spotless...showers bit weird only allow so many minutes per shower but i guess water must be costly..would highly recommend. be back next year!
Great choice to visit Cinque Terre, Portofino... Great views to the sea from some pitches and from the well maintained swimmingpool. Shuttle service to the train station (Cinque Terre) also in low season. Very clean toilets.
The staff is all very helpful and kind. I hope that we can return this camping in the future.
We spent a week at this site. The website is misleading that\'s near the beach as it not walkable. The site is high in the mountains on a steep and windy road. The campsite is not suitable for touring caravans as it was tricky and incredibly hard to get in our of the tiny pitches. Also, with the site being on such a steep hill makes it even hard to pitch up. We also met a couple who banged their caravan due to the hill and losing control. Staff are lovely and friendly, as is the lady n the shop/bar. Beautiful views from the bar. The pool wasn\'t open when we went at the end of May. Felt quite secluded there, couldn\'t walk anywhere outside of the site (too dangerous on the road). Most of the site is full of static caravans with huts built on the side, some quite scruffy. Nice enough, but wouldn\'t go back or recommend taking a caravan there.
The site was situated well above the town and with excellent views of the sea from many of the pitches. There are a lot of static pitches on this site and we were allocated a pitch along the lower touring terraces which we found narrow and quite claustrophobic, even though it did have good views. We had to park sideways along the terrace leaving space for vehicle access behind us and with maybe only a couple of meters to put out table and chairs in front. Access was quite difficult with the bigger units. Each pitch had its own washing sink. The toilet block was clean but no toilet seats or loo paper. The showers had a strange outside timer system allocating 4 minutes per shower. The site had a lovely little bar overlooking a nice looking swimming pool. The outside seating area had excellent views of the sea and the sunsets down the valley.
This site does have excellent views, the owners are extremely pleasant and helpful. The showers are timed but this is explained to you on arrival. Access can be a little daunting, due to the mountain side location, but the owner will happily use his four wheel drive to locate your caravan if required. We were going to stay overnight but spent three nights in the end. Electric supply is only about three amps, the fridge and battery charging is about all it will manage, don't worry though, this is Italy and public access to the tripped circuit breaker is just a case of opening the box.
Visited end of September, 2009. Rather tricky to find, nice sloping site, busy with closely spaced pitches, friendly reception staff. Power points appear just about sufficiently plentiful. Nice sanitary blocks with a large proportion of squat plates, no toilet paper, soap or paper towels. Cleverly arranged low wash hand basins for children. The shower arrangement requires you to set an outside flow timer for hot water lasting four minutes - not enough to wet, soap and rinse hair and body - arrange for someone to be outside to reset the timer for a second four minutes (then plenty time to complete a nice shower - bizarre, is it not). You cannot keep a dry patch of floor to dress without wet trouser bottoms or socks. No hot water for washing dishes. Free WiFi is a great attraction for those who want to complete communications and check for travel and weather information.
