On the shore of Lake Maggiore, in the village of Maccagno, is the campsite Lido. This simple, small campsite consists of two parts separated by a quiet road. A gate takes you straight to the water; the beach near the campsite is part of a beautiful park.

A-location

There are fifty small touring pitches, laid out on grass. The ground is flat, but hard, so bring sturdy pegs if you are coming with a tent. The many trees provide plenty of shade on the pitches. Camping Lido is in a real A-location, directly on the shore of the lake.

Clean and clear water

From the campsite you can step through a gate onto the beach. The clear water of Lake Maggiore is only about ten metres from the pitches. The beach is part of a beautiful park and consists of strips of grass and pebble beach. Especially for children it is wonderful to play and swim here. Please bring water shoes, as there are many pebbles on the bottom of the beach. However, the water is very clean and clear.

On foot to the village

At the reception you will find a small shop with a limited assortment of groceries. There you will also find a bar with a covered terrace. In July and August you can order fresh rolls for breakfast here. The facilities at the campsite are limited, but in the village of Maccagno you will find a supermarket and several restaurants and bars. The town centre is less than 700 metres from the campsite.

Der Platz liegt wunderschön in erster Reihe am Lago Maggiore. Es gibt einen direkten Seezugangund einen begrünten Strandbereich, der über ausreichend Schatten verfügt. Die Sanitäranlagen sind zwar optisch aus der Zeit aber stets sauber.
Störend war, das die Müllabfuhr in einer Woche dreimal den Campingplatz aufsuchte und dabei um 05.50, 06.45 oder 07.50 Uhr solch einen Krach machte, das an ein Weiterschlafen nur schwer zu denken war. Wir würden aber wiederkommen, da die Lage und übersichtliche Größe des Platzes als angenehm zu erachten ist.

Kleiner Camping am Lago Maggiore mit sehr freundlichem Personal,
Sehr schön gelegen mit direktem Zugang zum See,
Der Supermarkt im Ort ist zu Fuß leicht erreichbar.
Sehr gute Restaurants in der näheren Umgebung.
Schön sind auch die Schiffsverbindungen in die umliegenden Ortschaften von Macaggno aus.

Travelling party: Young couple

Ein kleiner, aber sehr sauberer Platz. Mitte Mai 2021 nur zur Hälfte belegt, eine Menge engagierte Segler sind dabei. Man muss das vor dem einchecken wissen, dass die Plätze ganz vorne am Seeufer etwa die Hälfte mehr kosten als alle anderen. Dafür sitzt man da vorne auch sehr ungestört und kommt beim zählen der zahlreichen Enten am Ufer nicht durcheinander.

Die Lage des Platzes ist tatsächlich sehr gut. Direkter Zugang zum See. Ansonsten waren wir aber enttäuscht. Beginnend damit, dass uns per Mail nicht mitgeteilt wurde, dass der für uns reserviere Platz ohne Strom war. Außerdem sehr knapp für unser mobil, obwohl ich dessen Größe in unserer Anfragemail angegeben hatte. Und obwohl überall wo im Normalfall nötig, warmes Wasser vorhanden sein sollte, mussten die Gäste zum Teil kalt duschen und spülen. Und die Servicestation für Wohnmobile ist in eine Ecke gepresst, und kann, da kein Rangierraum vorhanden ist, nur bedingt zur Grauwasser Entsorgung genutzt werden.

Sehr enge Parzellen ohne jegliche Abtrennung. Am Auffahrtswochenende wie ein Wohnmobilstellplatz mit den grossen wohnmobilen die Stossstange an Stossstange stehen. Wenige, veraltete Sanitäranlagen, allerdings immer sauber. Durchgangsstrasse teilt den Platz in 2 Hälften mit lokalem Freizeitverkehr, störend. Insgesamt eindeutig überteuert.

Lage schön , der Platz ist eng mit einem alten Zaun eingezäunt, Duschen und Toiletten veraltet , Zugang zum Grauwasser Entsorgung schlecht erreichbar Camper 7,50 lang . Hatten 3 Tage gebucht , sind aber nach einer Nacht wieder abgereist, hatten 77€ anbezahlt wurden einbehalten
