Camping Mals is in the extreme north of Italy, on the outskirts of the eponymous village. Here, you camp right by the border with Switzerland and at about 135 kilometres from Liechtenstein. This family campsite mainly attracts people with young children and seniors. It is quiet here and the area is perfect for walking.

Absolutely stunning view of the mountains

You look out over the stunning glaciers of the Ortler mountain from the pitches at the campsite. Camping Mals is a terraced campsite giving you absolutely stunning views. The campsite's toilet and washing facilities have recently been expanded. There are spacious showers with underfloor heating.

Free swimming and bread rolls from a basket

This campsite does not have extensive entertainment teams or disco evenings, making it nice and quiet. There is a playground for the little ones and public transport is on the doorstep. The Sportwell recreation centre is within a few minutes' walk (250 metres), and where campsite guests can use the swimming pool for free.

Get on the train

As mentioned, the train station is close by (150 metres). It is also a big a plus for this campsite. You can also transport yourself by bike or mountain bike. There is a 80-kilometre cycle path through the valley: the Vinschgauer cycle path. Finally, South Tyrol offers plenty of other amazing things. If you are going out with your children, the descent with special carts at the Watles mountains are great fun.

Travelling party: Couple

prachtig gelegen terrassencamping , nabij trein en busstation. Direct aan fiets en wandelroutes,zeer fraai en uitgebreide sanitaire voorzieningen.

Goed georganiseerde terrascamping. Prachtig uitzicht. Mooi, schoon sanitair. Unieke broodjes service, de bestelde broodjes liggen s' morgens in een aparte ruimte in mandjes klaar. Ideaal voor een actieve vakantie, veel wandelmogelijkheden in de omgeving. Met de Vinschgau kaart gratis gebruik van bus en trein. Voldoende supermarkten in de omgeving.

Bij aankomst werden we vriendelijk ontvangen. De formaliteiten werden snel afgehandeld en we konden een mooie plek zoeken. Daar was geen gebrek aan. Aangezien het pas gesneeuwd had waren de bergtoppen mooi wit. Het sanitair was echt spil en span. Zelfs vloerverwarming zodat je geen koude voeten kreeg. De douches waren ruim geen storende knop die je om de minuut moet indrukken. Ze hebben er een piep klein winkeltje met een beperkt aanbod aan producten. Ook is er een broodjes hoekje maar daar hebben we geen gebruik van gemaakt. Wat ons echt opviel was de perfecte WiFi ontvangst. Dat hebben we nog nooit zo goed gehad. het afval verwerking station is klein maar effectief en ook erg schoon.
Wij hebben in het dorpje gegeten bij de Italiaan. Top service en perfect eten.

Verder schijnt het een fantastisch feit en wandel gebied te zijn.
Hoe er rekening mee dat als je op het onderste terras staat overlast kunt hebben van de dieseltrein. Maar dat is niet de hele nacht van toepassing.
Dus een echte aanrader om naar toe te gaan.
