A very large campsite which was mostly empty when we arrived in mid September. We had a large pitch with drainage for the out of season ACSI price which was good. We were only staying one night on our way further south but if planning to stay longer it is quite a trek from the pitches through the campsite, across the road and down the private path to the actual beach. Pleasant, unspoilt beach which had considerable amounts of wood on it when we were there. The facilities were clean but basic and open air. Luckily the weather was still fine and warm when we visited. The shop was open, wifi was available at the bar and the water for washing up was only lukewarm - not sure whether it would improve or be even worse if the site was full.
Very good conditions for holiday with dogs. Nice walks through pine forest, the area for dogs playing, the beach reserved for people with dogs...
My wife & I stayed at this site as a stopover. All I can say is I found the staff very impolite to say the least. The swimming pool is inaccessible if you have a disability. The disabled shower facilities had not been cleaned in a very long time. To top it all the place was suffering from an insect infestation which according to notices is a reguler occurrance, pity they do not tell you this when you book in. Dogs were allowed to roam unleashed by some owners & deposit their mess around the site.
This is a very good site for a beach holiday. The toilet blocks are spotless and in low season it is not crowded. The site is shaded by very tall trees which means that in summer it cool but not claustrophic. The beach which is only a short walk away is unspoiled with several miles of beautiful sand. It is also popular with kite surfers. Beware, however, of the mosquitoes!
