Nice campsite next to the lake. Lots of places in the shade available. No toilet paper in the toilets, but everything is nice and clean. Friendly staff. Few minutes walk to supermarkets. The village is nearby and one can easily take the train to the bigger city\'s. It\'s a nice site to stay a few days to relax and explore the surroundings.
The situation of the campsite is good as it is on a small area of beach and within walking distance of the town. The toilet/shower blocks range from very very basic in the area to the right entering the campsite, to old and tatty in the first block with water that did not drain well and resulted in a flooded cubicle and emerging from the drain in the entrance between the men/women areas. We also checked the third, newer block which appeared to have no shower curtains at all so not sure how people keep their clothing/towel dry. No hot water for washing up. There also seemed to be a large building on the walk into town on the sea front which housed dogs which barked constantly. I am surprised the local authority has allowed this as it is very intrusive and could be heard from the campsite which is several hundred metres up the road.
Very well situated on a lake at the edge of a useful town with Lidl and Famila stores within short walking space (and with parking for motorhomes). Pretty setting, but even mid September it was very busy and pitches on the lake were not to be found. Away from the lake, the pitches are less attractive, especially due to a filthy blue plastic fence. We were chased away by the many midges and mosquitoes.
Very polite and helpful staff. They provided us with any needed materials and information about trips possible in that part of Umbria and Tuscany - e.g. to Siena, Montepulciano and to magnificent Marmore Falls (!) near Rieti
Campsite alone is a good place for the rest and for the physical an cultural activities as well (quite surroundings of Tarasimeno Lake, cultural treasures of Castiglione, International Festival of Folk Music).
One oops - lack of free internet connection. Paid Internet was available only near reception.
This campsite is very simple and relaxed. Its by a beautiful lake and within walking distance of the town, restaurants and nearby supermarkets etc. There are plenty of places nearby to explore. We were able to camp near the lake and its a site we will return to.
A relaxed site. Loved swimming in the lake plus cycling in the area. We were able to camp near the lake. The little town was in walking distance for eating out, shopping etc.
