Brilliant site. Individual pitches, choice of pitch on arrival. Very helpful staff. Pitches are smaller than some campsite we have been on and I would say most are not suitable for larger units greater than 7m long. Lovely swimming pool, views over the lake, set in grounds of boutique hotel, best sanitary facilities of any campsite visited in Italy. Lots to do in the area, hotel will help you organise if you need. Train station in Passignano, swimming pool open in early season, no other campsites in the area with pool open. Would recommend. We have now revisited site 3 times. Choose your pitch well, some have ants due to location of trees and the pitches on the front whilst have amazing views can be windy if it gets up across the lake.
Spent 6 nights here and loved the view of the lake, the peace only broken by lovely bird song and the friendly helpful staff. Joyous
Lovely site set in the grounds of a small hotel on the lakeside. Beautiful gardens, stunning restaurant, immaculate facilities and friendly, attentive staff. Shaded by mature trees with lovely pool overlooking the lake.
Excellent value overall!
Excellent family owned site with good restaurant. My only comment on the restaurant is that the hot food was served on cold plates but lack of space in the kitchen is the problem.
The views across the lake and the sunsets are awesome. We had 3 lakeside pitches in a week, by choice, the first being waterlogged after heavy rain and the last offering a wonderful view across to the town.
The site is well looked after and both family and staff were very attentive and helpful, however the elderly father needs to improve his social skills if he is to be in charge of reception. He shouted at me when I didn\'t understand what he was saying as I checked out. I think he is not usually there but looking after the office in the absence of his daughter-in-law who was normally in charge and in control.
The best so far! The camping site is attached to a boutique hotel and the same standards maintaining the hotel are used in the camping ground. Very well kept, plenty of shade, privacy, a stunning pool/lake area and very helpful staff. The town, Passignano, is within easy reach by foot or bike to explore and shop. Plus free Wifi.
A beautiful quite site but be care full if you try to eat on a Saturday night in the restaurant and have not booked you will be told to go away if not booked they won\'t even try to find a place, I only wanted a place for one outside or in, left the next day, won\'t be back,
This is a revisit for us from last year. Having visited over 30 more campsites since we would say the pitches are small compared to others and can be tight to access with a larger unit, however it\'s a very picturesque site with lovely swimming pool and excellent sanitary facilities. Views across the lake, free wifi, can swim in lake if you want to. Loads to do in the area. Some road and train noise but not off putting. Still rated as our best Italian showers.
On are arrival we were offered a pitch right by the lake for an extra small amount which was really worth it although we had two days of poor weather during a 4 day stay the situation of the lakeside pitches are excellent. The toilets and showers are modern and spotless, the pool looked good as did the restaurant which is very popular. There are some excellent places to visit in the area and what made it for me was the area is not at all commercialised reminding me of my visits to the northern lakes 45 years ago, that now sadly has changed. We were sadden we could only stay for a short period and would definitely use this site again if in the area. It was nearly full in May so booking is recommended.
Just east of Passignano sul Trasimeno which has a nice selection of restaurants and is only 20mins walk away via the marina. The site itself is beautifully maintained in the grounds of an italian villa which adds style to this small site. The pool isn\\\\\\\'t that large and was on the cold side early October, although refreshing and ideal for doing a few lengths to cool down. Disappointing that the jacuzzi by the pool was payable, not that it was expensive. Serious swimmers could have fun in the lake accessible by steps down from a concrete sunbathing area to a small beach - ideal for our labrador to retrieve a few sticks too! There is plenty of shade if required but also some sunny sites. Shower block was great and included hair dryers and hot water all day long. Many pitches have a lake view and if you manage to get a pitch directly over looking lake you probably won\\\\\\\'t want to leave!
Fantastic site. I would give this 4 stars. It was the best one we stayed on all summer. We were there in May and it was full so book early. We ate regularly at the restaurant which was also busy every night. Anna the owner made us feel very welcome and accommodated all our needs. She found us a new pitch after three days which was private and nearer the lake. This is a small site not far from the nearest town and the railway. We went in an excursion across the bay to an island. It was idyllic . There was also a local market to visit near the lakeside. We took our bikes and found this much better as the nearest town was 10 minutes bike ride away. There was a bike track near the lake but as it was in full sun for most of the day we didn\\\'t go very far. There are a few campsites round the lake but we found this one was the best. Most of the people on the site were Dutch . We were the only English couple. Everybody was very friendly so it didn\\\'t bother us at all. The showers were hot.
