Camping Gajole is situated on the western shore of Lago di Corlo, near the town of Arsiè. The campsite is actually one large lawn, dotted with a few young trees. A bit further away from the water you will find a number of higher-lying terraces. Whichever pitch you stand on, the view is superb. The campsite is restful and attractive, surrounded by nothing but lushly vegetated mountains and the blue water surface. There is a small private beach on the lake.
Camping near the lake
The one hundred touring pitches of Camping Gajole vary in size (50-90 m2). 'Down below' the grounds constitute one large lawn. This borders the lake. The higher-lying terraces are spacious lawns intended for tents, cars, caravans and motorhomes. These fields are connected to each other by pedestrians stairs at regular intervals.
There are two tents available as special overnight accommodation. The sanitary facilities of the campsite have recently been revamped and are well maintained.
Swimming and sunbathing
You do not need a swimming pool here as the lake awaits you. If you prefer to stay dry, you can paddle a canoe or soak up the sun on the lawn by the lake.
Modest catering facilities
The catering facilities of the campsite are rather basic. There is a bar for coffee, a few drinks and ice cream, however. The campsite shop stocks a limited assortment. The restaurant is small and so is the menu. You can eat outside on the terrace. Some three km further along you will find more village with a wider selection of shops and restaurants.
