Camping Lentemaheerd is in Uithuizermeeden, a village in North Groningen and is the most northern campsite on the Dutch continent. You will be camping here in the vast landscape of the province of Groningen, near both the Wadden Sea and the bustling city of Groningen. The small campsite is an oasis of rest yet has all the amenities that a campsite visitor could need.

Reception and Tourist (Information) Office in one

This small-scale campsite has various pitches on two camping fields. Choose a spot on the open field with a view over the open landscape of Groningen, or camp sheltered under the fruit trees. All pitches are spacious, equipped with electricity and carless.

Camping visitors are welcomed by one of the owners in the roomy reception area, which is located in the former farmhouse. It has plenty of information about activities in the surrounding area. The toilet block at the campsite was renovated in 2024. The building is heated and has adapted facilities for the disabled.

Cuddling with rabbits

The campsite is ideal for young families. The children can keep themselves busy for hours in the playground, on the trampoline and driving around in karts or on scooters. There is also a small petting zoo with donkeys and rabbits. For rainy days there is a ‘bad-weather’ area. It has a television, various board games and toys.

Stroll along the Wadden Sea

The many hiking and cycling trails in the area give nature and culture enthusiasts plenty from which to choose. Visit the Dutch mud flats or take the boat to the German East Frisian island of Borkum. Did you know that the Wadden Sea is on UNESCO’s World Heritage List?

Sehr gepflegter, ruhiger Campingplatz. Grosse Stellplätze. Super Lage Zum Fahrrad fahren. Werden wieder kommen.

Wir waren 3 Wochen auf dem Campingplatz. Alles war sehr zufriedenstellend.
Die Sanitäranlagen "Super!!!.Es war mit Abstand der beste Campingplatz den wir besucht haben.
