The verdant camping site Petrushoeve in Beesel, North Limburg, is an ideal location when looking for a base for sports and cultural activities. You camp here on generously sized pitches, separated by hedges with an abundance of activities both on and off the camping grounds.
Camping with privacy and shade
At Petrushoeve you have a choice of one of the 150 spacious camping pitches (100-150 m2). You can enjoy the privacy and shade from a few hedges, bushes and trees. Some of the camping pitches are located next to a field with playground equipment. During school holidays these are reserved for families with young children.
There are generously sized pitches for tent campers who can make use of the nearby picnic tables. These pitches are in close proximity to the sanitary facilities and the dish washing area. There are also a few motorhome pitches available for a short stay (maximum of three nights).
Entertainment for young and old
The camping site itself does not have a swimming pool. However, within a five km radius you will find a beach pool, two outdoor swimming pools and a sub-tropical swimming paradise. Therefore, choice aplenty for a refreshing dive.
Pizza right to your (caravan) doorstep
You can order pizzas twice a week. These will be delivered to your pitch, so that you can sit and wait for your order to arrive. Feel like meat, fish or veg from the barbecue? You are welcome to bring any type of barbecue (coal, gas and electric) to Camping Petrushoeve.

This is an absolute gem of a campsite. Very clean and orderly. Well laid out with plenty of space between pitches. We came for one night in our campervan as a stopover and stayed for two. It is exceptionally peaceful. It is also surrounded by excellent cycle paths into two different towns. We rode with our inexperienced nine year old and found it all very easy. We also rode our bikes to a lovely artificial beach on a lake, which again, was very easy. The owner was very helpful and spoke excellent English, which was helpful as we needed to find a local doctor. The goats were an added delight and we enjoyed watching them at feeding time. The car free status was also a bonus, adding to the feeling of peace and calm. We will definitely return.
Visited this site end of May, bank holiday weekend 2015. Now being run by a young family, found hosts more than helpful, they maintain the site themselves, toilets are modern and up to date, even though site nearly full were kept immaculate, as were the site grounds. Pitches are a really generous size. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
