Travelling party: Couple

Site, very good. Wash & dry clothes, very very bad! Site manager a horrible man does not accept ACSI cards. Will tell ALL my fellow campers not to set foot in this place.

An overpriced camp sight with additional charges for nearly everything. Showers, hot water taps and campervan water fill up.

The washing machine did not work and a refund was refused.

We won’t come here again.

We stayed for three nights during Whitsun holidays. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The site was quite full and there were occasions when queueing was necessary for the lavatories. A point to note is that, despite the level of site fees, hot water for showers and washing up is charged extra by coin operated timers, which we feel is a bit mean.
The site is generally divided into smaller sections by hedges. Some pitches were open, others secluded by hedges. It does not feel a large site. There are plenty of trees and birdlife in abundance. The site is conveniently situated on the borders of open countryside but it is an easy 15 minute ride into the centre of Alkmaar, which is a charming town. There is a good network of other cycling routes through varied terrain to the coastal resorts of Bergen aan zee and Egmond, for example. Overall a good site with low noise levels.
