Near the wide sandy beaches of the North Sea, only a few kilometres from Den Helder, you will find Camping de Zwaluw. It is a small-scale camping site with spacious pitches without shade. The camping site is quiet and ideal for a beach holiday. Furthermore, the camping site is an ideal base for excursions in the area. It is located on the boundary of a vast nature reserve with wide beaches. The beach is only a 5-minute walk and Den Helder is approximately 7 kilometres away.
As you drive to the camping site you will pass tulip fields and cross dunes. Driving past the coloured fields in spring is a glorious sight and at times you can even smell the hyacinths all the way to the camping site. The camping pitches on Camping de Zwaluw are spacious and open. Sun worshippers feel right at home here, because there are no trees on the camping site to provide shade. You can also choose for a rental accommodation. There are plain mobile homes.
The playground on the camping site has been entirely renovated since 2016. They now have an air trampoline, slides and climbing frames. There is a playhouse for the little ones next to the reception. Did you bring teenage children along? Challenge them to a game on the beach football field. The beach and the sea are only a 5-minute walk from the camping site. A walk through the dunes leads you to the wide beach.
