We stayed during very cold weather. The washrooms have underfloor heating and there is ample hot water. There were convenient taps within the washroom blocks to fill water containers and the dishwashing sinks are pleasantly situated In a \"garden room\" setting. The pitches are spacious and in light woodland. There are numerous cycle tracks to use over the dunes and into more urban environments. There are convenient bus & tram stops less than a mile away. This is our second winter visit and we enjoyed the wildlife and tranquil nature of this site in winter.
Lovely location with good facilities. Very expensive for what we got - we chose it out of the ACSI book as they had a pool. Wanted to swim - pool is very busy with no real supervision. They had an adults only slot 9-10 am. First day we went pool was closed as it wasn't clean enough! 2nd morning we had swam for 10 minutes before we had to get out as they told us it wasn't clean enough again. Asked about a refund on leaving but no joy!
Busy well worn wooded site adjacent to magnificent beaches. 8 kms to Den Haag. Great cycling routes. Great for Hook of Holland Ferry to and from Harwich.
Very large site with chalets, bungalows and caravans for hire as well as pitches for vans/motorhomes and tents. Although large the site is split up into manageable portions for tourers. Pitches are reasonably sized and on a sandy base. Most have shade. There are several small washing up points sitauted as stand alones around the site, a nice touch. No area for hand washing of clothes but there are washing machines for use. Situated right next to the coast with typically excellent cycle routes and public transport to nearby Den Haag and Delft. Cycle hire available and shop on site with other supermarkets within walking/cycling distance. A good stop with ACSI for the ferry. Expensive is not using ACSI as rate based on a family.
After 3 emails to confirm places no reply. Phoned to advise on two nights stay. 20 minute phone call after hanging on for ages. Then charged \"booking fee\". Never been known any where in 10 years travelling. All I wanted was to confirm that they had vacancies. A right rip off.
Toilets were dirty and never cleaned and the whole place seemed tacky. Avoid like the plague
On arrival, there is a barrier with no parking space and no signs showing what to do. Waiting there blocks the road. Eventually, noticing a tiny intercom button, we spoke to someone who opened it. Inside there is no indication of where to check in. Several campers were wandering about looking for Reception, which is inside the cafe/bar (but not signed and a long way from the entrance). We were eventually allocated a place number, at some distance in the woods. This place was totally unsuitable for a car+caravan (too small with awkward access). Another long wait at Reception to change to an easier place (of which there were very many vacant!) Apart from this frustrating arrival, taking well over an hour, the site is satisfactory, with basic facilities. The emphasis is on entertainment, for children and adults, rather than camping comfort. It is well placed to visit The Hague, especially by bicycle. Also convenient for the ferry ports near Rotterdam. Good WiFi for a reasonable payment.
