Travelling party: Young couple
Nádherný klidný kemp, dobrá příjezdová cesta. Čisté toalety, teplá voda ve sprchách na žeton za 0,6 Euro, teplá voda tekla cca. 5 minut na jeden žeton. Trávník \"sečou\" desítky králíků, je to hrozně hezké, ale všude bobky. kvalitní wifi po celém kempu.

Excellent stay / easily reached from ferry(avoid Friay evening) Warden said normal time 45 mins-our journey easily took 2/3 times as much,due to \\\"rush-hour traffic.

De camping is aan te raden. Mooie plaatsen, mooie stad op loopafstand. Maar voorzichtig: geen commentaar. Enkele vaste gasten zijn hier erg gevoelig voor. Ik had commentaar over de geluidsoverlast van een zwemdisco aan de overkant en werd door een vaste gast een drol genoemd......

Very friendly helpful staff. A nicely maintained site, but with very few touring pitches. For overnight stop we were cramped into very small space with no privacy whatsoever. Not suitable for young children (unfenced water all round site). Main problem for us was car parking off site in nearby (insecure) public car park.

Two of us cycle camping, were welcomed by friendly staff. A lovely site, very clean, quiet and surrounded with water.

Excellent site. Toilet facilities are very clean as is the whole site. The owners speak very good english and are very friendly. Easy access to town and train staion. We went to Keukenhof gardens from here in 50 minutes very easy. The walk to town is flat. It's a site that we shall return to, can't praise it enough.

Camping Batenstein in Woerden, 10 minutes train ride from Utrecht, is one of the loveliest and most picturesque camping sites we have visited. Dutch to the core, with canals and lakes dividing the place into several small and cosy communities. Easy access and adequate space for visiting campers, although we could have wished for more shade on a hot and sunny day. Fine sanitary facilities and good covered cooking and sitting area for tenting families - an asset on a rainy day. Top class public swimming facility only 50 meters away. And the old and charming city of Woerden is 15-20 minutes' walk away, yet Batenstein is blessed with peace and little noise from the street. Train to/from Utrecht four times per hour so Woerden is perfect as base for an excursion to Utrecht without driving and parking worries. And most important: Batensteins two managers John and Ineke are very helpful and friendly, speaking excellent English. Batenstein was unknown to us but will surely be remembered.
