Camping by the sea in the Netherlands: this is possible on Stadscamping Zeeland. The beaches being only 15 minutes away by car and the city centre of Middelburg within walking distance, you can breathe in the salty sea air and absorb the culture of Zeeland. You stay here in the Walcheren peninsula on a campsite which was renovated completely in 2017. On the outskirts of the town, but without the hustle and bustle. Stadscamping Zeeland forms an ideal base from where to explore Zeeland.

Luxury camping pitches

The campsite is surrounded by trees, but further than that there are no trees on the camping grounds. Lange Jan (the abbey tower) and the roof peak of the Middelburg town hall tower above the trees. 

The campsite consists basically of three sections. The right hand side is reserved for modern rental accommodation. Splendid luxury: if you stay in one of these accommodation units, you can make use of a breakfast service. On the left hand side are the motorhome pitches and the pitches for caravans and tents. A few motorhome and touring pitches are extra comfortable. If you stay on one of these luxury pitches, you will have (heated) private sanitary facilities. All pitches are spacious.

Zeeland beaches

Is any coast more beautiful than the coast of Zeeland? Lots of people born and bred in Zeeland will say no to this. And they certainly are justifiably proud of their Zeeland beaches. These are wide, extremely long and pristine. An ideal spot for a swim or a walk, but you can also make endless cycling tours along the beaches and on the dykes. Incidentally, you can hire a bicycle from the campsite, if you have not brought your own along. From the campsite to the beach is about six kilometers.

Vreselijke camping! Veel te duur! Onvriendelijke eigenaar, geen beschutting, schuine natte plekken..... en dan nog de duurste willen zijn. Degene die de prijslijst en deze camping heeft bedacht heeft kennelijk zelf nooit gekampeerd en zou zich kapot moeten schamen voor dit soort prijzen! Echte afrader!

Wij hadden geboekt van vrijdag tot en met zondag.
Gevraagd of het mogelijk was voor een latere check-out op zondag.
Dit was mogelijk echter er kwamen wel 7.50 euro aan kosten bij.
Helaas werd ons niet verteld dat bij het in en uitrijden die zondag je een code moest invoeren bij de slagbomen om het terrein te verlaten en weer binnen te komen.
Dit vonden wij een slechte zaak. (gelukkig hadden we er zelf wel aan gedacht).

Sfeerloze, te dure camping. Vooral geschikt om nachtje op doorreis te verblijven, liefst met camper. Het lijkt één grote parkeerplaats met mooi sanitair. Geen begroeiing, geen beschutting. Ongelijk terrein, ondergrond klei. Ligging nabij Middelburg is leuk en locatie is ook geschikt om Zeeland te ontdekken.

Sfeerloze camping zonder beschutting tegen wind en zon. Wat bloemen bij de ingang. Wat lage struikjes, verder een kale vlakte. De vergelijking met een parkeerterrein is snel gemaakt. Ligging is prima. Op loop-/fietsafstand van het leuke centrum van Middelburg. Steden als Vlissingen, Zoutelande en Domburg zijn op de fiets goed bereikbaar. Receptie beperkt geopend; broodjesservice wegens Corona niet beschikbaar. Prijzen zoals vermeld kloppen niet. Camping is een stuk duurder.

Lange smalle camperplaatsen. Je krijgt 110 m², maar je plaats is te smal om een luifel uit te zetten. Op 31 december was het aanschuiven aan het herensanitair. De ligging op een kwartiertje lopen van centrum Middelburg is geweldig.
Behoorlijk aan de prijs voor wat het is...

Wat een geweldige camping voor het bezoeken van de mooie stad Middelburg.
Het sanitair werd héél goed schoongehouden.
Hele vriendelijke beheerder.

Wij vinden dit een geweldige camping. Ruime plekken voor de caravan. Voor campers zijn ze kleiner, maar dat zie je op veel campings. Heel vriendelijk personeel die de tijd namen de route naar de oude binnenstad van Middelburg uit te leggen. Is goed lopend te doen. Prima sanitair.

Zeer nette camping rustig gelegen en alle faciliteiten aanwezig.
Niet ver van het centrum van Middelburg.
Mogelijkheid om broodjes te bestellen zeer vriendelijk ontvangst.
Middelburg echt de moeite om te bezoeken.

We kwamen aan vlak na een hoosbui, het middenterrein voor de campers stond onder water. Er werd voor ons direct een betere plaats gezocht. Zeer vriendelijke receptionist. Het sanitair was prima en zeer schoon.

Vorig jaar in juli en september hier verbleven. Super ! Dicht bij centrum en winkels.
Een fietsparadijs langs rustige wegen en mooie dorpjes. Het was schitterend weer; Komen dit jaar terug in juli.
