In the midst of an agrarian area, between two dikes near the Het Zwin nature reserve, you'll find the campground de Wachtsluis in Zeeuws-Flanders. Cadzand-Bad is nearby, with a charming high street and a lovely marina. The charming campground has spacious sites on various fields, with a modern sanitation building. You can rest and relax on the terrace of the teahouse.
Upon arrival you will be greeted by the friendly owner. You'll find your site on well maintained grass field. This is a real farm campground. There are various crops on the fields, such as potatoes and wheat. You'll notice the convivial atmosphere as soon as you arrive.
Families and couples
In the high season you'll see many families. You'll hear Dutch and German. In the low season it is quieter with primarily older couples. Most of the campsites are at the edge of the field, but there are also some in the middle of the left field. On the basic sites electrics (4A) is included. The more luxury sites also have a tap and sewer.
Playing and galavanting
There is a play field for the children with trampolines, a cable car and go-carts. De Wachtsluis is a real outdoor camping area to play. In poor weather the kids can also play in the barn (play corner with underfloor heating).
Tea house and sanitation
The catering on the campground consists of a tea house with a charming terrace. You can also come there when the reception is not open. The spacious sanitation building is luxurious and modern. It is possible to rent a private bathroom, or a disabled bathroom. There are also special sanitation facilities for children.
