In the south of Portugal (the Algarve), close to the coast, you will find camping site Albufeira. This is a friendly family camping site with many hibernators during low season. The terrain slopes slightly but has flat pitches. The atmosphere is convivial and hospitable and there is a nice balance between activities and peace and quiet. The camping site is attractively located amidst a hilly landscape with interesting villages.
A pleasant, green camping site
On your way to the camping site you see a spacious field with beautiful swimming pools in the centre. You may choose one of the various (shaded and sunny) pitches. Albufeira is a camping site where you will soon feel at home. There is little demarcation between the pitches, but there are a large number of trees and plants. You camp on a hard, flat surface. In addition to camping pitches, there are rental mobile homes and bungalows.
Swimming and sunbathing
The swimming pools are located in full sun. From here you have a splendid view of the area. There is a toddler pool and and there are sufficient loungers around the pools. You can order a snack or a drink from the nearby restaurant. The beach is a few km down the road.
Regional products and sanitary facilities
The camping site has a good and affordable restaurant with a small and an extensive menu. There is a supermarket with a reasonably large selection and a choice of fresh food. You will also find good regional products here. There is a recreation hall for shows and parties. The sanitary facilities are spacious and clean and are divided over a number of blocks. There are special facilities for babies, children and disabled persons.

This campsite is really good value for money. The pitches are generous and there is lots of choice of shaded, open, terraced or flat. The onsite supermarket is the best Ive seen with everything you could want except fresh produce, but the local supermarket, less than 1k stroll away, has a bakery, fresh meat and fish. The campsite pool and restaurant remain open and are beautifully positioned on a really nice terrace. Its about 20 or 25 minute walk in to town but this is down a landscaped pathway/park which makes it a pleasant and safe route away from the main road. Its a big site with a number of permanent placements but these are mainly at the top of the site and are nicely kept.
First experience of a Eurocampings site and we were delighted.
Excellent site plenty of room to choose from on unmarked pitches lovely swimming pool and bar
Tried takeaway it was average we had scooter so town was only 5 mins
Friendly man on check in despite slow queue
Would definatley return
Never again, the worst site ever. Ignore that photos of the lovely green grass. Most of the pitches are just bare earth. You are told to camp wherever you want, as long as there is two metres between you. The eateries are next to the pool with music and tannoy blaring out, deafening. Shower block etc spacious, but tired and not always clean. Have to pay in advance, paid for three nights, left after one. The blurb says the most modern campsite in Portugal, hate to think what the rest are like. Maybe that was written fifty years ago.
The camping is very confortable, safety and nice for the children. A very pleasent place!
the campsite is good but not is amazing, the staff is hungry and the entertainment is boring have camp of tennis and padel but not is very good, the food and drink are very bad but the toilet and the swimming pool is very good are amazing
This was our third stay at this large site, north of Albufeira. Unless booked to use the rally field, touring units have to find a pitch at the top of the site, typically, alongside one of the access roads (so limited space for an awning). Good on-site restaurant and well-stocked supermarket at site entrance. Short bus ride into Albufeira.
We were there for 6 weeks. Campsite quite haphazard on the top pitches as no markings but no problems. Everyone very friendly and Those not on leads seemed to come from the bungalows. 20-30 minute walk into town. Only problem was the number of stray cats which somebody was encouraging by feeding them, annoyed our dog! Very few dogs not on leads.
No marked pitches so take pot luck in the season. Free wifi but it's so bad don't include it as an extra! 2 pin electrics but powered kettle ok. Toilet blocks very busy , but it was August so expect a wait at certain times. Cleaners did well and they always looked OK. Toilet blocks Very open with no windows so wouldn't like to be here out of the summer. Site good with plenty to do. Town and beach a good walk away, but go along the path away from the road and use the underpass it was ok. Reception had a number system to help with large q,s. Not perfect, but would stay again!
Four night stay on our ACSI card - the site grew on us. It is a large site, lovely pool/restaurant area which needs a bit of TLC. Excellent sanitary fcilities but cold water for washing up! Restauarnt and supermarket on site which were both very good. The staff were very pleasant and spoke good English. This site felt very secure.
