A lovely site but although I found it through the ACSI app, it does not participate in the scheme. I may be missing something but I was under the impression that if a site was in the app, it also in the range if fixed rates listed. Why I bought it! I also note it us not in the 2019 CC book so maybe it’s a hangover from previous years.
We stayed here for 1 night on our way from Salamanca to Coimbra. Visited Almeida on the way which is well worth a short detour off the A25 if you have time. This site is well signposted from the N17. Access into the site is fine in a motorhome but could be a bit tight with a caravan but fine if you take care. The dutch owners were very welcoming and showed us to a choice of pitches. These are laid out on terraces all with electric nearby. The site has a lovely rustic feel to it with lots of olive trees and bushes. The toilets and facilities were all clean. There is good access for water/grey waste and toilet emptying. Wi-fi is available near the main building. A set menu is available for dinner ( we didn’t try this) as is bread for the following day but must be ordered by 6pm. There are excellent information boards in various languages listing all of the activities particularly walking and cycling. We only stayed one night due to rain spoiling our plans for cycling from the site so we moved onto Coimbra. (Don’t miss the amazing Roman remains and excellent museum at Conímbriga 30 mins SW of Coimbra). All in all a very nice rural site which is a good base for exploring the hilltop villages and walking and cycling. We were not disturbed by village dogs as other reviewers have mentioned. (Rocket Dog).
Really friendly relaxed site in an outstandingly beautiful area. Every effort had been made to provide lots of information and to make visitors feel welcome. We didn\'t eat at the restaurant but the menu looked delicious and changed every day. The site was comfortably busy with a range of nationalities and ages but there was plenty of space. The facilities were good and there was plenty of hot water. We\'d definitely stay again and would certainly recommend it to anyone.
Óptimo campismo, bom acesso, boa piscina e excelentes refeições
Friendly site in a great location for walking and sightseeing.Entrance requires much thought about positioning for a large twin wheel caravan and car but staff will help.
Friendly reception, pitches flat, toilet facilities old but adequate. Stayed here in early May so camp not fully open. Limited menu for Dinner but good basic food at reasonable price. Fresh bread can be ordered daily.
Dog friendly site with some good walks. Only downside is at night dogs barking in local village is a problem.
