We stayed here Aug 17 with 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 3 dogs. The main attraction to the site was their website offering a shop, restaurant, horse riding, horse carriage rides, visits to a shepherd\'s site, and a swimming pool. After a long journey and negotiating a long farm track which would be impassable after rain we arrived to be told none of the above was available apart from the pool which was in no fit state to be used, green and scummy, nothing like the picture used in this website. On arrival the owners warned us that their three large dogs are let out at 9pm until 07.30 and our dogs weren\'t to be let out during this time to avoid being attacked. The dogs are apparently to discourage wolves and bears entering the campsite. The toilets and showers are acceptable and capable of hosting a lot of people. They do however use grey water for flushing and the smell is pretty unpleasant. Our guess is that this site was originally set up by enthusiastic owners but has been sold to less enthusiastic managers. The pitches are fine and level and have electricity and it is a beautiful remote setting, just don\'t be took in by the claims on their website which are clearly untrue.
We had never heard of this place and it came as a total surprise. We were driving in a camper and just improvising. The surroundings are stunning, the staff is extremely friendly and the prices incredibly cheap. No wonder it was so crowded over the weekend, many people coming from afar for the swimming pool and a barbecue. Best time to visit is the beginning of the week - we had the swimming pool all to ourselves! Oh, and you can also see some wildlife, my husband and the dog saw a mama bear with a cub in the forrest, but they are kept at bay by the owners\' three impressive dogs.
We stayed here for 2 nights and we had the best service ever. The facilities were occasionally environmentally challenged, but clean and served their purpose. The surroundings are stunning and the owners are the nicest people you could ever wish to meet.
