Campsite Centro Vacanze San Marino ****

General information

San Marino is a special holiday destination, because it is the oldest republic in the world (since 301 AD). Furthermore, it is a modern and prosperous country with beautiful nature and interesting historical sights. Camping Vacanze San Marino is situated on an open hill near the capital with the same name. The area is hilly and wooded and has a rich culture. To reach the camping site, you have to drive up the mountain over winding, but easily passable roads.

Friendly camping site

The shady camping site makes a well maintained and friendly impression and there is an attractive looking swimming pool. This is a very pleasant family camping. The camping pitches vary in size; you may, however, choose your own pitch. You can also rent a luxury glamping tent, or a standard tent, mobile home, room, studio or apartment. The camping site is frequented by a mixed public of young people, families and senior citizens. A number of people come here specifically to visit the town of San Marino.

Attractive swimming pool

The swimming pool is lovely and you can enjoy the sun on the adjacent lawn. In high season entertainment is organised for all ages. Furthermore, the camping site has playground equipment, several sports fields and a trampoline.

Delicious pasta

You can buy basic necessities from the small shop as well as fresh bread. There is a large restaurant with a good choice of pizzas and pasta dishes, which are very popular. The sanitary facilities are modern and are well maintained.

Convenient by bus

From the camping site there is a direct bus connection to the beautiful historical town of San Marino or the Italian Rimini beach.

One of the nicest campsites we have stayed in Europe. Lovely setting, pool and great restaurant. Really clean and modern bathrooms and helpful staff who speak great English.

Travelling party: Couple

We chose a big pitch to get some space and we ended up with the whole terrace to ourselves. Toilet facilities fine, pool mainly for kids. Regular bus to San Marino(tickets from reception). Excellent staff. Small shop but bread available all times.

Travelling party: Family with children, various ages

Great site. Adequate but not fantastic toilet / shower facilities. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Disappointed with bar,
it is a restraurant but guests can drink only, if a table is available. Site paths and roadways are very steep, that\'s not a negative remark but guests would benefit if pre advised. We had a huge pitch so no complaints there. Health and Safety seem not to be an issue, I informed reception of a broken and potentially dangerous handrail to a flight of steps outside the main toilet block and it remained broken when we left some 9 nights later.

Travelling party: Couple

Stayed 3 nights to visit San Marino by bus from right outside the campsite (great day out) and Rimini, also by bus (less good). Everything works about this site.

Travelling party: Couple

Nice shaded campsite with prompt bus service to the old city of San Marino, sadly no evening service, last bus around 6pm to return to campsite. Indoor bathroom facilities were excellent and very clean with free flowing hot showers, some with adjustable heads. Would definitely stay here again.

Great campsite, the only complaint \\\"the wife\\\" had was the sensor light in the bathroom went off to soon. Would definitely use this park again.

Reaction from the campsite December 19, 2015

Thank you very much for your nice review. I will tell the direction of the lights in the bathroom. Hope we can welcome you another time on the campsite. Kindly regards

Travelling party: Seniors

A large and very structured park.Very hilly although the pitches are mostly level..a little difficult to get onto so e however as they are not large. The few larger ones are at an extra cost, which is unreasonable. There is a bus at the front that takes you to the old town ..does not run that frequently but it is good. The old city and walls and towers etc are great. We stayed just the one night which for us was sufficient. There is not a great deal to do apart from the town visit..which this park serves to do well.

Reaction from the campsite December 10, 2014

Thank you for your review. It is always nice when people write their opinion on our campsite. Hope to meet you again on our campite. Kindly regards

Travelling party: Couple

Stayed here May 2014. Friendly, helpful reception staff who spoke good English. Nice campsite on terraces with easy access to good sized pitches. Main toilet block near reception is modern and clean. Small shop with limited choice on site. Bus stop outside campsite which takes you into San Marino old town in 10/15 mins. Tickets must be bought at reception each way, as cannot purchase on the bus.

Reaction from the campsite January 13, 2015

Thank you for your review, very kindly of you. We hope to see you another time on our campsite. Kindly regards

Early in season, so pool not open. Some of pitches not very easy for large outfits. Good bus service into San Marino. Site on side of hill with good views.

Reaction from the campsite January 13, 2015

Thank you for your nice review. Like you wrote we have standard and large pitches on our campsite. Hope to see you again on our campsite. Kindly regards

Travelling party: Couple

Stayed here in May 2011. Nice site, in good location for visiting the old town, we walked there but you can catch a bus at the site, or walk so far and then catch the cable car. Pitches were of a good size with access and campsite roads good. Campsite reception were helpful with useful info and maps provided. Wifi was free in the tv room, but no network on our pitch

Reaction from the campsite December 13, 2013

Thank you a lot for the nice Review. It is true that the Wifi still doesn\'t work very well on the pitches. We hope to resolve the problem before the next summer season.
Kindly regards
