Stayed on this site for a couple of nights as a stopover. Pitches are gravel and slightly sloping, water was 20m away and further for some pitches, electricity is 10 amp. Ablutions are very clean but then they should be, there are only 3 units on site and one of those is the Dutch warden! The shower whilst hot has no pressure and is barely more than a dribble! Toilet paper and hand soap provided. Everything is closed and the reception closes at 4pm, however, don\'t be put off by the locked gates, they push open and the warden is on the right after the barrier. This is a basic site and very expensive. Nearest supermarket is in La Carlota which is 10km away although there is a little shop in the village a km away. Dog walk is amongst the olive groves which border the site. There is a lot of traffic noise throughout the day, quieter at night thankfully.

This is a \'camper\'s\' campsite - just right for us. Mathilda is a mine of information and encyclopaedic knowledge of Spanish history and the area. Nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely go back if able. PS she has the most infectious laugh and kept everyone in our group very happy.

Like many we loved this small and family run site. Handy for Seville (75 mins), Cordoba (25 mins) and Granada (90 mins). Beautiful countryside around, nice bar and patio area and lovely small pool. We arrived late tired and hot from Seville and lovely Mathilde the manager/owner kept the pool open late for us to chill for an hour. No ACSI discount but a free complementary breakfast of coffee/tea, OJ and bread and marmalade. Great site, fabulous staff

Love this site. Staff so friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble. Had a lovely pitch overlooking the olive groves and countryside, just magic. The pool was the only one we found open and was much needed as it was so hot when we were there. Had two good meals in the restaurant and simply loved the little breakfasts.Tried to get the recipe for the marmalade but it\'s a secret apparently. Would have loved to have bought some.

Just spent 4 nights here and it\'s one of the nicest campsites we\'ve stayed at. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. The facilities are very clean and in very good condition. Its a small place but in my opinion that makes it better as there is no noisy crowds or queuing for the loo!! The pitches are a decent size pretty level. I would thoroughly recommend staying here with either tent/caravan/camper.

An excellent campsite. Our pitch was level and a reasonable size. We stayed for 4 nights in February and would have stayed longer but the weather was changing. Had an excellent meal in the restaurant. A good site to visit Cordoba, Medina Azahara and Ecija (a beautiful small town) must roman and moorish history in the area. Campsite has a lot of local information and the Owner could not have been more helpful.

The Negatives: road noise - shared toilets/showers - no toilet seats - toilet/shower doors too small for privacy - chemical disposal point basic.
The Positives: Matilde, the owner is a young women who is an absolute joy to meet, she is utterly committed to her business and is passionate about this area of Spain. She will go out of her way to help and advise, and she even organises and personally runs guided tours of the area, including visits to local Olive oil facilities and Bodega\'s.
She is a one stop Tourist Information centre with a warm personality and very good English & French.
This is not camping for the masses, but if you appreciate rural Spain then spend at least a few days at La Campina, you\'ll not regret it. We stayed longer than originally intended.
We can recommend Matilda\'s rabbit paella.
We\'ll definitely stay here again when we return to Spain.

This is a small (31 pitches) site on the edge of the village of La Guijarrosa. It is not ACSI and so more expensive than other sites we have visited in mainland Europe, however everything is included in the price - electricity, nternet etc., etc.
The owner Matilde and her staff speak excellent English and are keen to help in every way they can. Indeed when one of the site trees backed into our car they were of great help interpreting for us with the garage and providing a telephone answering service.
The site may be small but it’s perfectly formed, the facilities are modern and spotlessly clean with all the requirements - loo paper, soap, towels etc but no toilet seats. The pitches are large and flat and at this time of year sunny although I can envisage lack of shade being a problem at the height of summer.
There is a swimming pool, restaurant and bar all of which are closed at the time of year we visited but fresh bread is available in reception every morning. There are shops in the adjacent La Guijarrosa town the centre of which is less than 2km (1.2 ml) from the site.
This is a very good site to which we will return and that we can unreservedly recommend.

If you are looking for a small campsite that is clean, peaceful and shaded by olive trees then you will find La Campina will meet your needs.
The owner Matilda is an excellent host and is happy to advise on excursions to Ecija and Cordoba and the surrounding area. There is a lot of history to explore.
This is one of those camp sites that you will put on you list to come back to each year when travelling south.
