JUSt back from touring Southern Spain, this campsite is perfect if you want chilled out and tranquil. Bearing in mind we were visiting in January. Fantastic to see a pod of dolphins in the bay. The toilet facilities are fab. Plenty of room on the pitches as well. Water and electricity at each pitch. We will be back. The reception staff are particularly warm, welcoming and pleasant.
We have just had 4 nights at the Don Cactus and have to say we have enjoyed our stay there, we couln`t comment on the food as the restaraunt was closed for cleaning , as someone previously said there are a lot of flies about due to the areas of poly tunnels near but didn`t bother us too much, we found the staff very friendly and helpful and the washing and shower areas spotless, We hope to return in November.
We\'ll run site, clean and tidy amenities. Very close to beach although sandwiched between miles of polytunnels. Restaurant food fine.
The location is not the best but the staff are friendly and helpful the bar and restaurant is good. The toilet blocks must have been upgraded they are excellent. We stayed for 10 days the longer staying Dutch and German were very friendly as was the Spanish if you acknowledged them. I would stay again.
Never again. Pitches poor, ablutes poor. Tannoy system intrusive noise. Very noisy with Spanish weekenders.
Surrounded by miles of plastic greenhouses. If needing an overnight stop drive on!
Taps and jets of showers in bad condition.
Unconfortable system of hot water in the dishwasher.
Many doors of the WC not closing.
Pitches with excrements of dogs, due to a weak control from management (and bad manners from campers!)
Our first visit to this site which is difficult to access because of new traffic regulations on the beach road. The reception staff were delightful and the bar/restaurant offered good food at reasonable prices. The pitches were disappointing, just dirt which walked into the motorhome if care wasn't taken. It was also very noisy at the weekend. Lots of seasonal caravans. Surrounded by greenhouses on all sides, lots of flies which meant all food and drink had to be kept covered at all times. Very difficult to eat outside. Feral cats on site. The children's animal corner looked neglected and the rabbits required vetenary care.
