In southern Spain, close to the Portuguese border, you will find Camper Park Playas de Luz. Here you camp close to the Spanish coast and the Atlantic Ocean. Ten minutes' drive and you are on the beach. Only pools of water and salt banks lie between you and the sea. The campsite, which is fully equipped for camper vans, is situated on a plateau. From your pitch, you can look out over the marshes of Isla Cristina.

Very suitable for motorhomes

The hard surface of the pitches is very suitable for motorhomes. Campervan owners will be well served by this 'camper park'. All facilities are there to make it as easy as possible for you. But if you travel with a caravan, you are also welcome here.

Refreshing dive

It can be lovely and warm under the sun here in Southern Spain. If you want to cool down, jump into the swimming pool! It is situated on the edge of the campsite. The pool is not particularly large. But it is perfect for a refreshing dip. You can dry off in the sun on one of the deck chairs around the pool.

Magnesium-rich bath

A short walk takes you from the campsite to the marshes. A lot of salt is extracted in this special place. Admire the salt banks and the meandering pools of water. Be sure to bring your swimming gear as well! Some of the ponds have been transformed into swimming pools. Here you can take a magnesium-rich bath. Good for body and soul. Would you like to enjoy the water without getting wet? In the neighbourhood, you can take to the water in a boat.

Travelling party: Couple

We intended to stay for one night but stayed for a week. Very friendly staff, fresh bread daily in the small shop in reception. Facilities small but clean. €1 for a 5 minute shower. The swimming pool was well kept and clean and nothing was too much trouble for the friendly, kind staff. Bar within walking distance and beautiful views of Isla Cristina and the marsh land. I recommend you take the €10 boat trip through the fishing port and marshes. Take your binoculars as there is plenty of wildlife and birds to see.

Very good value, clean, site. No shade but lovely views over the salt marshes. Better facilities than some of the sites! Unsure why they charge a supplement for single night stays, but still a good deal.

Icon for camping in ACSI-app is wrong. This is a campersite. Dog shit on the pitch. Dog of caretakers walks around free.
1 camper, 2 persons, electricity, no access to swimming pool not cheep. Electricity 6 amp or less. Toilets to small. They look clean but it smells in the facilities. Shower is a little small. Local youth uses the land just before the campersite to cross with motors. Fly- and mosquito-plagues. Nearby nature park is worth to visit. WiFi did work.

  • A49/E1 motorway, exit 122 towards Isla Cristina. Drive through the town of Pozo del Camino and you will see the sign to the right of the petrol station. Take that road. After 150m, the entrance is on the right.
