The large family camping site of Peña Montañesa is located in the town of Labuerda, in the Huesca region. Something for everyone on this lively and beautiful camping site in the Pyrenees, with two natural parks in the immediate vicinity. Thanks to the location along a river, there is water close by as well. The camping site offers mainly sporty entertainment to families with children.
Reception and first impression
Properly maintained, paved pathways (gently sloping here and there) will take you to well-kept fields. You will find a large variety of pitches, all with a view of the Peña Montañesa mountain. Although not very large, the pitches are adequate. You can choose between pitches with or without shade. The degree of privacy also differs. The camping site also has a few mobile homes and bungalows for rent.
Swimming to your heart's content
There is an outdoor swimming pool and a heated indoor swimming pool, toddler pool, jacuzzi, sauna and whirlpool. The outdoor swimming pool is adjacent to the restaurant terrace, in an open section of the camping site, very sunny and with a view of the surrounding area. The Cinca river, in which you can swim, flows along the camping site.
Please note: the water is not suitable for tiny swimmers. This is because you bathe between boulders and stones. However, the river is suitable for white water rafting, kayaking and rafting.
There are excellent sports fields, with athletic track and cycling/roller blade track as well as a tennis court. More than 18,000 m2 of recreation! The restaurant with terrace caters for all tastes. Here you can enjoy eating outside next to the swimming pool. You can also get take-away meals.

Here in early July so before the big rush. Plenty of space but wouldn’t want to be here in high season, I don’t think the facilities would cope. Need air conditioning in the restaurant. Not enough water points. Overall, however, these points aside, it’s a good site with big pitches for caravans and a fabulous 30 metre swimming pool and grassy lounging area. Great mountain views. Helpful staff and informative reception.
This is a lovely large campsite with a beautiful backdrop of the mountains and set in an excellent location.
It is a sort drive from the town of Ainsa so no problem to find a supermarket. It is also close to the National park with beautiful walking trails etc.
The campsite I generally laid out in rows with some shade and hedging between most pitches.
The toilets are modern-ish but kept spotlessly clean. Toilet seats and toilet paper is provided. Hot water available 24 hours.
Staff were friendly and helpful (they even gave s a bottle of wine on departure). There is a reasonable shop and the on-site restaurant also provides reasonable food. The outdoor pool only opened the day we left but the indoor one was open.
Overall and excellent site.
Really helpful staff made our stay here fantastic. The Ordesa National Park is amazing and the campsite is very well located for visiting all areas of the park.
Lovely site big pitches and private with stunning views, clean toilets and powerful showers
Heated indoor pool. Jacuzzi hydro massage pool and sauna.
Free wi fi excellent helpful staff small supermarket a little expensive
Plenty of good walks with the dog , Ainse old village well worth a visit very pretty .
Great site. We were offered a choice of pitches. As our caravan is 7m long we choose large one with a good view of mountain rather than the smaller shaded pitches. Washrooms kept clean, site shop has fresh bread and a good variety of essentials. Plenty of good walking nearby, restaurants and shops in town of Ainsa.
