Toilets not very clean, area for washing dishes was very dirty and we took the dishes back to the van and also dogs dirt on the grass where we parked. They also refused to take the acsi card
We embrace the whole ethos of Eco Camping and what the owners are trying to achieve at this campsite. We liked the friendly welcome, the flat pitches and the clean, modern toilet blocks and the free electricity. But, yes you knew a but was coming, thoughtless showers with nowhere to hang dry clothes or towels, or store toiletries, everything can get wet, even outside the shower. Many people were walking there dogs inside the campsite and there was dog mess around (we have 2 dogs ourselves). Despite the advertised Free Wifi in the bar/reception area, we and several other people wasted hours sitting and waiting for a connection, only to be told, with a shrug of the shoulders, it's always slow but everything is working!
We walked 5 minutes up the road to El Santuario de Misericordia to a vey interesting and beautiful plaza with wonderful views and a nice bar, with good tapas and good Free Wifi!
Set on the edge of a hillside with panoramic views over the town of Borja and beyond - beautiful. BEWARE however relying on the sat nav as we were directed through the medieval centre of Borja (had to unhitch to turn around). The site is several kilometres north of the town in a small hamlet. Best to phone ahead as there was nobody at the site when we arrived although we rang the number left on a notice on the gate and help (speaking only Spanish) arrived soon after. Small but quite new and clean site. We used it for an overnight en route to the coast but would recommend for a longer stay. No complaints, clean, well equipped and reasonably priced. Small bar and pool in the warmer months
This campsite is at the top of the area with stunning views. Spotlessly clean, with large pitches. totally isolated. We stayed overnight only (ideally placed for the cut through Zaragoza) so did not eat. Only downside, it IS in the middle of nowhere about 5 km from Borja town, also very steep winding hill up to campsite, and badly signposted (small hand written notice at ground level. There is small pool and childrens playground on site, and lots of mountain to explore!
