Do you like the combination of sea and mountains? If so, Camping Las Hortensias is the place for you. You are staying here on the green coast of Spain, the Costa Verde. The renowned Parque Nacional Picos de Europa is situated in the area. Moreover, the campsite has direct access to a fine sandy beach.

Attractive hydrangeas

You will be staying among an abundance of hydrangeas on the grounds. The pitches are located in long rows on a lawn along paved roads. Some have a sea view and some are partly shaded. Rows of trees, hedges and a few buildings provide shelter against the wind. The camping is surrounded by tree-covered hills. The sanitary facilities on the campsite are new and are cleaned daily.

Beautiful sandy beach

It takes less than a minute to walk to the beautiful and sheltered sandy beach, bordering the campsite. For children (possibly for adults, too) this is one big play paradise. The considerable tidal difference will allow you to amble between the rocks, where there are lovely little water pools for children. There is also a great eating establishment at the beach. From here you have a superb sea view. Over weekends, many Spanish day visitors flock to the bay, but during the week the hotel and camping guests have the place virtually to themselves.

Fun and games

Apart from the beach, children will enjoy the playground and soccer field.

The camping shop has a generous range. Feel like a luxury meal out? The adjacent hotel offers a good daily menu at discounted prices to camping guests.

"Family campsite by the sandy beach of the Cantabrian coast. A safe and exciting beach during low tide, with inlets filled with fish. Perfect for young children. Campsite guests receive a 10% discount at the hotel restaurant. A 10% discount in June and September. Excellent toilet block."

Liked - La cercanía a la playa, limpieza de los baños y la atención en recepción.
Disliked - En los baños falta una zona seca y/o bancada para apoyar ropa, neceser etc. También falta una zona con juegos y actividades para niños dentro del camping.

Liked - Es un camping sencillo únicamente para acampada en tienda o caravana.
Con acceso directo a la bahía de la playa. Gracias al personal de limpieza y mantenimiento, todas las instalaciones están súper limpias y además son personas muy agradables que te ayudan con lo que necesites. El camping está siempre en perfecto estado.Además su ubicación es la mejor con un entorno maravilloso, verde en las montañas y un agua azul turquesa en el mar. Para conocer los alrededores no hay más de 1 hora en coche.Los fines de semana la playa está cotizada y más si amanece con un sol radiante
Disliked - En el camping nada malo.
Únicamente en la parte del aparcamiento de fuera los fines de semana es un trasiego de coches que quieren venir a disfrutar de la playa y la zona es pequeña para tanto coche.

Liked - El camping esta super bien ubicado a muy poca distancia de la playa la franca. Cerca esta el bar los Emilios, excelente para ir a cenar. Respecto al camping la parcela que nos toco era bastante grande y cerca de los baños ( super limpio en todo momento, hay personal de limpieza en todo momento).
Disliked - Es cierto que el camping necesita reformar un poco el parque infantil. Es un espacio grande y bonito pero tiene un tobogan de hierro un poco peligroso para niños/as pequeños. Por lo demás, excelente.

Liked - The proximity to the beach, the calm, quiet and friendliness of the reception staff. We were initially given a different pitch with very narrow access but after chatting to the reception staff, they directed us to a much better pitch with easy access for our 8m motorhome.
Disliked - That we didn't stay long enough - next time, we will stop for several days!
