You will find the friendly terraced campsite Caravaning Oyambre on a gently sloping terrain near the town of San Vicente de la Barquera. The sea is only 500 m away from the campsite. You are staying here on the quiet Costa Verde amidst a protected nature area.

Well-maintained campsite

At Caravaning Oyambre you will get a spacious demarcated pitch or a spot on an open lawn. The campsite is clean and well-maintained. The camping pitches have no or little shade due to the relatively young greenery. From the terraces, you have a beautiful view of the Picos de Europa. Permanent guests are accommodated in a separate area from the touring pitches. There are also some fifty beautiful bungalows on the campsite.

Delicious and affordable dishes

In the attractive restaurant, you can choose between dishes on the extensive menu or the menu of the day. The tasty three-course dinner is reasonably priced. You can enjoy your meal in the charming restaurant or on the cosy terrace. In the camping shop, you will find a limited assortment of foodstuffs (also fresh bread).

Swimming pool and palm trees

The swimming pool (200 m2) is flanked by palm trees. The adjacent toddler pool measures approx. 16 m2. Adjacent to the swimming pool you will find several loungers.

Surfing in the sea

The campsite has a sports field. A short walk through the fields will lead you to a lovely wide sandy beach and the sea. You will find may surfers here. Bodyboarders also love riding the waves. You can look for crabs between the rocks. Great excitement for children!

This is a lovely campsite Very clean and well looked after. The reception staff friendly and helpful We booked two nights and stayed for five. We could chose the pitch and the views are lovely.
The washrooms were cleaned by a lovely lady who I’d like to take home to do my cleaning ,she was very thorough.
The swimming pools were also well looked after
You can walk to a sandy beach which has many surfers.
Also the nearby towns are well worth a visit especially for the lovely fish restaurants .

Just spent 5 days here. The cleanliness of all the site is outstanding. The ladies in the toilet block take a real pride in their work. The menu del dia was very good value with friendly staff. Will definitely return.

Lovely site and staff but the facilities are letting it down....it is now somewhat out if date in comparison with other sites....great for the Santander ferry though.

We have arrived on this site today and it is the worst site we have ever stayed. Dogs constantly barking and loud camper behind us. It’s horrible. It’s not peaceful or relaxing.

This was a great site... good location before or after Bilbao or Santander ferry... easy 15-20 minute walk ( slight uphill on way back!) to lovely stretch of beach, which had a couple of beach bars...the one we visited was well used by locals. Staff on site were very friendly, owners very hands on, and the food in the restaurant was very tasty, especially the menu del dia. Easy cycle ride to little town of Comillas,( 5km) with a variety of shops bars and restaurants. Good vibe in the onsite bar in the evening, but not noisy. Overall a good choice. ( not rated children or sports as not used! )

excellent site, stunning views of the hills. Clean spacious and very tidy. 5K walk to the town 2k to large beautiful beach. staff friendly and food good in the restaurant . Wi-Fi good around bar area.

This is a great campsite with excellent facilities and only a 45 minute drive to Santander. We stayed our last 3 nights here and loved it. The walk to the beach is lovely, to a really beautiful bay with cafes and lovely swimming. The campsite pitches were a good size, the bar and restaurant and shop were brilliant even low season. The showers and toilets lovely and clean and lots of hot water and it also had good washing up facilities and laundry. The swimming pools and gym were excellent as well. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Highly recommend .

A small site between San Vicente and Camillas. The site was quiet at night and our pitch was a good size, but had no shade.
The swimming pool was good, but also had no shade The bar/restaurant was busy. There was a jazz band on Saturday night. All in all pretty good. The shower block was very clean and the staff helpful.

This is the last of 8 sites we visited in Portugal and Spain and is the best in many ways. The pitches are a good size for our 8m motorhome. The loos and showers are good and well maintained. The bar is pleasant and sells jugs of good sangria. We enjoyed the two pools which were clean and well kept. The excitement beach is ten minutes on foot or three by bike. We are only here for two nights sadly.
