We went in Sept ,Do not take ACSI ,no pool, shop, bar etc open, we were going to stop fop 2 nights but with nothing open and too expensive we will move on.
Pitches a bit small and no grass so for tents not the best. Couldn`t get served in the restaurant - menu expensive. Easy access to Toledo and staff very helpful, perfect English. Showers brilliant, clean, powerful and hot - no buttons. Would stay again.
This site is well placed for access to Toledo. It is a short bus ride or a 30 minute walk. Toledo is very impressive, sited on a hill and made up of countless narrow and winding streets, easy to get lost in, but that only adds to the fun. There are lots of attractive buildings and places to visit. The reception staff are helpful and informative. Credit cards are accepted. Washing facilities are a bit dated but well kept and there are plenty of them. All the pitches are neatly separated with hedges. The bar, restaurant and swimming pool all overlook the city which provides a very attractive setting. We only stopped for two nights but could easily have stopped longer.
Stayed for 2 nights to visit Toledo. Site facilities are good, as was pitch. Restaurant was well used and had a varied menu. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bus proved a non-starter, but plenty of taxis at a fare little more than the bus fare. Toledo well worth a visit. Will stay again.
Great site, very convenient for a bus ride into heart of Toledo. Gentle 200m uphill walk to bus stop. All bus info given by site staff. Fantastic pool and bar with perfect view of city landscape. Free wifi in reception and bar. All usual facilities. Got in with big van (8.7m) ok, but pick your slot as some easier than others. Didn't use restaurant but looked good. No real shop other than basics so come prepared if cooking. Toledo itself is perfect walled city. Could easily spend 2 days exploring. City bus/mini train tours. Very atmospheric. We loved the places we visited, cathedral especially. Very pleased with site and city. Would definitely recommend, and we'll come again.
Positives are great view of Toledo from the bar and restaurant. The food at the restaurant is also very good with friendly service.
Negatives are that the drinks are very, very expensive; the nice pool was closed for maintenance on at least one of our days and the best thing about Toledo is the view from the campsite. There are many walled medieval towns in Spain/Europe with Gothic cathedrals and this was not the best. Old synagogues charge for entry and are not worth the money,it is to much and as you can see some fine El Greco paintings there, a visit tontine El Greco gallery is not really worth it unless you have a particular interest.
This is an excellent site for visiting Toledo - it is about a 15min walk to one of the bridges leading the city. The campsite is easy to find. The entrance is down a grand road bordered by trees and the site is in the grounds of a fairly posh hotel.
The pitches are a good size and well defined - some are flat and some slope gently. The toilets and showers are excellent.
There is a good view of the city from the bar.
We were going to stay 4 nights but left after one. The site is very poor value for money as one would expect more than the basic site facilities for the nightly price charged. The welcome from the reception was more than begrudged! Yes the bus to Toledo does stop outside the site entrance but this is more than a fair walk, up hill, from the site gates and any pitches. Certainly not suitable for any one but the fit and probably not preferred by them after a long day site seeing in the city. We will not be returning and would caution others.
