The number of showers and toilets were completely inadequate for the site during our visit. the cleaning of the facilities was also inadequate, leaving them dirty and, on one occasion, without toilet paper. This was brought to the attention of the reception staff. This was the most unsatisfactory site that we experienced during our trip to Spain. Toilets and showers should be cleaned three times daily as was normal in many of the smaller sites.
Stayed on this campsite for two nights in early November. Was allocated a pitch on arrival but was told I could choose any vacant pitch if I preferred, just to let them know which one. We actually picked the pitch next to the allocated one. This was right next to the restaurant, close to the shower block and not far from the site supermarket. There were quite a few old tourers with awnings which had seen better days on this site which detracted from its overall appeal. However, it was next to the nice sandy beach, the restaurant was open, as was the shop. Ideally located for visiting Barcelona. Although the campsite is only 3 miles from the airport, and you can watch the planes come and go (no night time arrivals or departures) the noise wasn\'t loud enough to be a nuisance. Washroom facilities were pretty decent and my wife was quite impressed with the laundry. No restrictions on putting up your own washing line, unlike some of the sites we visited.
A convenient stop if you are visiting Barcelona, but it was a 20 minute walk to the bus stop and the bus to central Barcelona, about 35 minutes. There is very little around the outside of the campsite as regards shops and restaurants etc. Some pitches are adjoining the beach, but there was a small premium to pay, but worth it. We would stop there again, but only because of access to the city.
Very handy for Barcelona but you do need to put up with the aeroplane noise. Our pitch was pretty bare sand, would be even more so later in season. We ate in the restaurant, friendly staff, good service and nice food.
I know a lot of people have complained about the airplanes that fly over this site but you get used to it and it's worth it. What a great site. We would pay full price though next time for a pitch next to the sea. It was stunning. The restaurant was great, supermarket was great, the location was great and access to Barcelona was easy. Again I know people have complained about the narrow, side of the road walk to the bus stop but it was ok and well worth it. Deffo will return.
We spent just over a week at this site. That wasn't the original plan, but we loved Barcelona and the site was good.
The planes are noisy but you soon get used to them. The little shop which sells a range of groceries, drinks and bread is OK but expensive. The bar is good and if you try to speak Spanish, the measures and service become generous. The ground staff/cleaners are all a bit grumpy, unlike the reception staff who are brilliant.
The toilets are not unisex, as stated below, are clean and the showers do what they are intended to do. For Brits with Aquarolls and Drainmasters, there is a proper tap for filling up in the laundry and a drain to empty your grey water.
It is a bit of a hike to the bus stop along the main road on a rough path. Nevertheless, we took the bus in each day. Be sure to buy a T10 ticket which covers both the buses and the Metro in Barcelona and research how to use it. They are very good value for money. You can buy one in the Metro station near where the bus terminates in the city centre.
Used this site as a base to take our scooter into the city. As it was very quiet we chose a pitch next to the beach, just fantastic. Access road was narrow but we got our 9m motorhome in without a problem. New water and EHU points had been installed but no earth when I checked the electric. Site is next to airport but we didn't find the noise a problem, and no flights overnight.
Although this site is close to a main road and Barcelona airport, neither bother us, we were near the toilet/shower block in the middle and could not hear the road. As for the planes, you soon get used to them, you can pitch by the beach, or under trees. Electric 5amp, you can walk out the back of the site on to the beach. Here you can hire windsurfing/kite surfing equipment, or try to catch supper by fishing. Toilets are clean with paper but unisex, showers may not look much but are good, plenty of hot water, bar prices are reasonable i.e. grilled chicken salad and chips €8.50, only down side is the walk to the bus stop approx. 80mtrs alongside the busy road just inside of the crash barrier.
