I know a lot of people have complained about the airplanes that fly over this site but you get used to it and it\'s worth it. What a great site. We would pay full price though next time for a pitch next to the sea. It was stunning. The restaurant was great, supermarket was great, the location was great and access to Barcelona was easy. Again I know people have complained about the narrow, side of the road walk to the bus stop but it was ok and well worth it. Deffo will return.
We spent just over a week at this site. That wasn\'t the original plan, but we loved Barcelona and the site was good.
The planes are noisy but you soon get used to them. The little shop which sells a range of groceries, drinks and bread is OK but expensive. The bar is good and if you try to speak Spanish, the measures and service become generous. The ground staff/cleaners are all a bit grumpy, unlike the reception staff who are brilliant.
The toilets are not unisex, as stated below, are clean and the showers do what they are intended to do. For Brits with Aquarolls and Drainmasters, there is a proper tap for filling up in the laundry and a drain to empty your grey water.
It is a bit of a hike to the bus stop along the main road on a rough path. Nevertheless, we took the bus in each day. Be sure to buy a T10 ticket which covers both the buses and the Metro in Barcelona and research how to use it. They are very good value for money. You can buy one in the Metro station near where the bus terminates in the city centre.
Used this site as a base to take our scooter into the city. As it was very quiet we chose a pitch next to the beach, just fantastic. Access road was narrow but we got our 9m motorhome in without a problem. New water and EHU points had been installed but no earth when I checked the electric. Site is next to airport but we didn\'t find the noise a problem, and no flights overnight.
Although this site is close to a main road and Barcelona airport, neither bother us, we were near the toilet/shower block in the middle and could not hear the road. As for the planes, you soon get used to them, you can pitch by the beach, or under trees. Electric 5amp, you can walk out the back of the site on to the beach. Here you can hire windsurfing/kite surfing equipment, or try to catch supper by fishing. Toilets are clean with paper but unisex, showers may not look much but are good, plenty of hot water, bar prices are reasonable i.e. grilled chicken salad and chips €8.50, only down side is the walk to the bus stop approx. 80mtrs alongside the busy road just inside of the crash barrier.
A nice site for excellent visits to Barcelona (dont drive use the bus) brilliant location for the beach as its has direct access. restaurant a little hit and miss sometime very good and the not so. but its cheap tapas good but the pizzes!! the shower blocks have plenyt of very hot water but they need a fresh coat of paint. they are cleaned twice a day. Pitches are from very small to large ish. some pitches have a fantasic view of the sea however they are quite very close to each other so not much space but mostly used by the motor home brigade. the only downside is when the wind is in the wrong direction the Planes taking of from Airport turn over the camp site so can be a little noisy during the day. But they dont do it from 10 pm to 7 am so you can sleep ok. A little way out from local shops and restaurants so you will need to drive . you cant walk as the entrance is on a very busy dual carriageway. (some pitches may be effected by the road noise)
Fin, veldrevet plads, god beliggenhed for Barcelona, dejlig badestrand.
Eneste minus er støjen fra lettende fly.
This site has the atmosphere that site have when they are in a unique position by a very popular attraction. The site has some very definite pluses. It has a direct easy entrance off the C31 dual carriageway. It is on a cheap (2 Euros) every 20 minute bus service to the centre of Barcelona. The sanitary facilities were always clean and loads of hot water.
So what about the downside. Well the only real negative was the planes start at 7am taking off at the rate of one per 3 minutes so catching up on sleep here is not a possibility. The rest is “average”. Pitches of all shapes and sizes, a few with privacy but most without. The sanitary facilities are tied but functional. The shop is fairly well stocked and, as to be expected, “campsite prices”. The bar/ restaurant was again average but acceptable. The site has partial Wi-Fi coverage but it is among the most expensive we have encountered.
We used the site, for a few days, as a place to rest our weary heads each night, being out sight seeing every day for which it was OK. I certainly wouldn’t recommend it for a lazy sunbathing holiday. By the way it does have good access to a sandy beach direct from the site.
We stayed two nights on a pitch right next to the sea. Very clean, ample facilities. Although I found staff aloof they did provide adequate information about the bus into the city. This bus is a simple, easy connection.
We were surprised how little airplane noise there was at the time of our visit. After a busy day in the city it was relaxing and enjoyable to eat at the restuarant on site. I am not sure how we would have found it without GPS coordinates.
Thanks a lot. Aldo For another people that woul d come to us on our web page you have a map how to arrive.
Thanks another time.
Very big site, two sides to it so a lot of walking is required depending on your pitch. The main road through the site can be busy with cars due to this, I was forever watching the children on their bikes in fear. Site shop is expensive although there is a bus stop outside to take you into Fréjus and a local supermarket close by. Had nice timed but would not go back, too big !
I´m sorry but this is not our campsite we are near barcelona (Spain) and Frejus I think is France. our campsiste is not so big we only have 407 pitches, thanks a lot.
The planes fly very close during the day and at night there was a very bad smell of sewage.
